Game Thread Spurs (0-0) @ Mavericks (0-0) (Wed 10/22/25) [8:30PM CDT]

Kinda wish we had a "warm up" game against the Jazz or Nets but excited for the season!!! Interested to see Cooper in this game, we were so close to having him paired with Wemby....crazy.

U mean like the preseason game on the 10th against jazz?

It’ll be interesting to see if Dallas goes with their jumbo lineup. If there was ever a game to run a double big lineup for the Spurs, this would be it.
Think they will with Fox out, at least to test and as it looks like their best lineup.
Klay/Flagg do their best to funnel to AD/Lively and PJ. The shot blocker potential with that length is crazy.
Gonna be a fun watch

Gafford is currently questionable and it would be nice if he doesn’t suit up tomorrow. Haven’t seen anything on whether he is likely to play

Damn, no Lunch Lady either?

I can afford 1 charter and you bums gotta pay after that.

Honestly I'm saving that charter for a playoff game if and only if @scott provides undisclosed shelter for destruction at an undisclosed location off-site.
It was my idea! I get a seat on the charter! :st-afro:

And we can reopen the donations thread for more charters. :st-lol:

Old good Texas rivalry again! SA vs DAL!

With Houston having Sengun and Amen as young core, the Texas Triangle rivalry will stay for years to come. Hopefully we can have great Texas team matchup in the playoffs

AI summary for Reggie Miller on Wembanyama
When asked about Wembanyama after the interviewer noted he "added some weight," Miller's response was brief but glowing:
  • He said he picked Luka Dončić to be the MVP that year, but added, "and then once Wembanyama is gonna come in and then once he figures a little bit more out, gets the right people getting him the ball in the right places, I just I think he'll be the best player in basketball, best two-way player in the game."
He also suggested Wembanyama is a sure bet for future awards:
  • Miller stated that one doesn't even need to "pencil him in for the defensive player of the year," believing he *should have won it the year before* but didn't qualify due to games played. He predicted that if Wembanyama qualifies this year, "he'll clearly win defensive player of the year."
  • He also predicted Wembanyama would be in the top five in the MVP voting that season.
In short, Miller sees Wembanyama as having the potential to be the best overall player and the best two-way player in the league once he fully settles in.

I'm ready for this!!!
Keen for the charter too but closer to may/ June for the big games

Yes...Wemby and Korndog better get ready...

Dallas and Houston both has their jumbo lineup....

Even Denver has this...

That will be a gimmick lineup. Both of them are pretty immobile on defense. They can cover for Jokic most of the time, but playing both of them more than spot minutes would be a disaster.
