SA has a chance to get this right now, having the arena downtown! I was baffled by how much people were misinformed ("this will be the 4th [or 5th] arena built for the Spurs", thinking we're voting for all of PM, Alamodome a financial loss, etc). Prop A was what tilted it for me, personally. There is a much bigger national problem with sports leagues wanting new arenas/stadiums without real plans for the abandoned venue. You don't get another one 30 years from now.

On a simpler note, I hope the new arena looks cool.

Pretty late to this but if someone can help educate me how these propositions work in the states that would be nice.

So as long as there is a majority it passes (as in >50%)? Are there amendments in propositions allowed after the fact? What happens if the Spurs or the city do not hold up their end of the bargain?

Nah but it’ll still be much closer than SA and can make a weekend trip to watch a spurs game and raiders loss
Fellow Spurs/Raiders fan here. Fuck Geno Smith. And Pete Carroll and Spytek too. Hope we don't win another game this season tbh.

I love that the current FBC goes to the rodeo, lock stock and barrel, and that the Spurs are putting $10m into the old practice facility, and donating it to SA as a community center. Solid moves.

Also, NO MORE RODEO ROAD TRIP, and likely an ASG shortly
after they move.

Anaheim would have been more likely than Vegas IMO if the vote failed, though Seattle or Tampa would have probably been the frontrunners.

The future of San Antonio is now in Peter J Holt’s hands. Let’s see how much he truly loves the city, or if this is all about greed as it usually is with rich people. The SS&E does a lot of community service so maybe there’s hope that they have good intentions for the city of San Antonio.
Well put.

Just wait until they discover that Hemisfair is home to a rare endangered one-eyed salamander or some shit...

From reading, the green are precients voting for Prop B.

So the North side carried this (along with Alamo Heights and other non San Antonio parts of Bexar County). As I said the other day.

*gives self a Kluby* (for the old school posters and I think I spelled it right)

San Antonio has no identity without the Spurs. But now let's hope they get it right. Putting the Arena on the Eastside has been a failure. Having it Downtown again makes the most sense.
