i think concussion day 2 is mostly do you get headaches if you think too hard. Also doctors can't do anything if you sustain a mild concussion. they basically say send you home to sleep, there is no current medical intervention other than to check for brain bleeding which is life threatening. i think most of y'all would go back to work on day 2 unless you work somewhere where you have to concentrate. i do think wemby should take it easy but if he were a veteran and the game was slow to him i'd say he would play. but his current uncontrolled style and emotional regulation could be impacted and he's a risk to himself

I remember Malik Rose getting a concussion against the Mavs in game 1 back in ‘03 and then coming back to play in game 2. I think Malik had a 20-10 game in his return. It’s possible Victor could play in game 3.

To me, it's sit Game 3 and tell everyone else to step up and grow up fast. If they're going to the Finals they have to prove to themselves in moments like this.

The team looked pretty good when Vic came off the bench mid-season, wouldn’t be surprised if he comes off the bench for 20 minutes against Portland’s backups tomorrow.

I would add Carter Bryant to that equation, high energy guy, probably one of the most athletic players on our team, we could definitely use his body to help with defensive rebounds, specially considering Portland’s inefficiency with the three-pointer (long shot, long rebound)

I've been saying this about Champ for awhile. I also say it about Vassell. But, then they have a great game and I get yelled out for even mentioning it before. I just don't see the Spurs going far with those 2 in the starting lineup. But, who knows...I've been wrong once or twice in my life .

It really is kinda malpractice to not have a serviceable 3rd center. Spurs don't trust any of them and would rather play small then play one, pretty crazy. Feels like we haven't seen Kelly or Plumlee in any meaningful minutes almost all season. Are they really so bad as to be worse than playing Keldon at center??? I was kinda excited when we added Plumlee, he always seemed like a decent backup big, is he really that washed? I don't think we have seen enough to determine that.

Yep, he looks washed, just like Biyombo was a serviceable big, but by the time Spurs got him, he was washed. Looks like the Spurs did the same with Plumlee. They got him when he was washed . That's why a few of us here on Baseline Bums wanted a decent backup big. Spurs didn't do it.

Teams with Championship aspirations don't try to game the seeding for an easier path. Not sure how many times you guys need to hear this.

I agree with you on this. It's a soft move. I keep remembering back to Memphis doing it in 2011 to face the Spurs because they thought they matched up well with us and it really pissed me off that we lost to them. Before Manu's injury, I was very confident we'd beat them. Even though this isn't part of question you were replying to, matchups do play a part in winning a Championship, though, as I'm sure a lot of people will say it, that the Warriors helped the Spurs in 2007 by knocking out the Mavericks in round 1. Back to your point, though, Championship level teams/teams aspiring to win one don't tank for matchups. I agree with you.

Everyone has had takes about whether Monsieur Alien will play tomorrow. I do think him not playing tomorrow could do his teammates some good. Thrown into the fire without the potential best player in the NBA with no net. If he's 100% then no problem, however that hit to the floor has not even been 48 hours.

I think some of you are treating this too seriously. If he's OK and passes all the tests and shows no signs or symptoms of it, he should consider playing game three if he feels good.
If it was me and I was cleared, I'd be playing game three no doubt about it. I wouldn't be sitting out at all. Maybe it's the wrong approach (the one another poster mentioned Larry Bird took when he had a similar one and came back within the same game), but I'd have come back in the same game if I could have.

if he feels good and he feels normal.Yea let him be.But only victor can only make that decision if he truly feels alright to play.
