NBA Official 2026 NBA Playoffs Thread

Interesting that Masai is with Dallas. Always had a good trading relationship with BWrong, wonder if that continues tbh.
Brian Wright would never get bent like Pop/RC did in that Kawhi trade, tbh. (OG Anunoby would have been a Spur and zero chance Green would be a free throw-in in it).

Still think Ujiri is kinda overrated and has been dining on that trade ever since.

BWrong was the main orchestrator of the Nephew deal tbh :st-lol:

Nah, D-White was a hooper and a winner. 6'4" and an elite rim protector, how's that generic?
Murray on that Celtics team wins a ring too. Hawks thought enough of him to give up all those picks. Hate he had an Achilles tear smh

One of the things I love most about the NBA Playoffs is roleplayers seemingly out of nowhere having big games in elimination games - like Tobias Harris and J. Allen in the two Game 7s yesterday.
I wonder if there will be some shake-up happening in Orlando after yet another disappointing season (they were fine against the Pistons and somewhat redeemed themselves with that series). Quite a number of analysts advocate for trading Banchero and retooling around Wagner/Bane/Suggs plus maybe another star player (who might come over in a possible Banchero trade). I am skeptical about Banchero as well, but I really doubt the Magic will trade their number one pick and franchise player after he just dropped 30+ efficient points on the road in a Game 7.
I think the issue with Banchero is that all of the large scale impact stats point to him having very average all around efficiency for a "star," including average rebounding, below average shot blocking, & poor three point shooting, but then every time he has a good game people take that sliver of anecdotal evidence and project it as what he's going to be in the future. I just don't see it. It's not surprising that he had a few big games where he looked good, but it's also not surprising that he had one game where he was 0-9 from three, or that he finished the series with a TS% of 52.4% and a eFG% of 46.9%. I think that's who is is. Even with Duke, he had the 4th best BPM on the team, behind two guys who aren't in the NBA anymore.

LOL, are you 12 years old? Hilarious to see someone bring a 4th grade level of understanding on a subject and dare to call someone else stupid. Then again, you posted a GOAT list where you didn’t even have Lebron in your Top 11, which is a tell tale sign of a lack of critical thinking.

Lines don’t move because one team has more “fans” than an other… Vegas sets the lines where they estimate they’ll have equal action on both sides so that they balance each other out and the house just wins on the vig… but “fans” aren’t the heavy source of action, real betters (who try their best to not make stupid bets) are.

I normally let complete idiocy slide, but you floated right into the T Park zone of hubris: a mastery of the tone of authority without the inconvenience of logic or facts.
Oh my god, you're one of them too.

FML. Let me try that to put this in words that you'll understand:

There's a thing called public betting, which is where teams like the Lakers, the Cowboys, and the Yankees move the line with the sheer number of bets placed by the fan base. They don't have to be logical. They're homer-based bets. Also, Los Angeles is not a far drive from Las Vegas, so a lot of Lakers fans spend time there. They spend money there, and they bet on their team there.

And I literally kept Lakers off of that list as a joke. And I explained it at the time. I guess your reading comprehension is as bad as your knowledge of gambling.😂

Wouldn't be so sure. White just has supreme basketball IQ, Dejounte, not so much. BBIQ is what separetes winners from losers. Derrick spotted what was needed out of him on that roster and he executed it perfectly. Murray would have probably tried to do too much on offense, throwing off the rythm of the team.

Not to mention Derrick's defense >> Murray's. Murray's defense has always been overrated. White is trully one of the most elite defensive guards of all-time.

You should be able to make a killing betting against the Lakers every game then… since their fans are so powerful they artificially move the line towards them.

Absolutely brilliant strategy, make sure to update us when you’re a billionaire.

Can’t believe bettors haven’t discovered this completely fool proof strategy yet.

Absolutely wild that Knicks game is gonna overlap with the Spurs one. What are we doing here, Adam?

It's amazing to me that the Pistons extended their coach for winning a seven game series against an eight seed and Orlando is blowing up their team for losing a seven game series to a one seed.

Same shit tomorrow too - CLE/DET play at 6 PM CST and LA/OKC play at 7:30 CST. Maybe I'm just dumb but I really don't see why they would ever have games overlap once you move past the 1st round.
