NBA Official 2026 NBA Playoffs Thread

Going to be a shitshow, tbh. :st-lol:

I actually can't believe the NBA scheduled the games to overlap and it's going to be like that all week long, just an hour and a half between tip-offs.

If the Knicks and Spurs end up in the finals it will be ironic because San Antonio's (and Duncan's) first ring came in '99 at the expense of the Knicks. Fate for Wemby and us?
Lakers have to beat OKC and then we play the Knicks in the finals and we would have faced the same teams in the 99 title

Okc constantly being able to retool with high picks is going to keep them a puzzle to figure out over years

The Spurs have more top end talent right now tbh. That's harder to find than the role players they'll be cycling in the years to come.

Now if they luck into Dybantsa, DP or Boozer this year, it's different story :st-lol:

Celtics and Nuggets losing in the 1st round was not what I expected. They just had the worst matchups possible.
I absolutely hate teams that rely on throwing up lots of three point shots. Glad to see another one gone.

As for the Sixers winning, I don't really like most of their players. Maxey is the only guy that I like. I don't know much about VJ to comment on whether or not I like him.

I did like Embiid, but he's hurt other players which is the main reason I don't like him. Ended Danny Green's career which sucked to see.

man you guys all are skinning the bear while the Spurs are not even close to the bear's cave ...
Good reality check. Still lots of work to be done.

Tbh, it's everyone else that should be worried about the Spurs, not the other way around.
If we win it this year already, it's actually over, the only thing stopping us from dominating the league for the next decade will be injuries.

I have some thoughts on this that I'll be more than happy to share if/when we ring this year tbh. No f'n jinx here.

the tl;dr is that "failure is a great teacher" in the long run

I think that they should beat Minnesota but beating OKC will be extremely hard, they have home court advantage and the NBA will make sure that this series last long so if the Spurs take one game in OKC, you can bet the foul merchant will get his 20 FTs in SA

Knicks are too inconsistent to beat okc
Knicks are a dangerous team. If their chemistry is right I feel they can beat anybody. OKC would be favored against them but it wouldn't surprise me if they also pulled an upset on them.

OKC would beat the Knicks. They're a bad matchup for them. OKC is 6-0 against the Knicks in their last 6 games going back to 2024.

lol nba "fighters"

the last nba guys i witnessed who could actually fight was kermit washington and it was not much of a fight and a hospital stay for rudy tomjanovich...
and kareem when he broke bensons jaw

today?

not so much - but maybe some gratuitous shoving and bear hugging...
