NBA Official 2026 NBA Playoffs Thread

im hoping wolves win....just so we can spurs asap...im already missing spurs games. :)
Minnesota finding some way to pull it out tonight would be ideal for a number of reasons. I don’t think Anthony Edwards is going to play at all in the next round. But it’s hard to imagine they have enough fire power to win tonight. We will see?

Hopefully there home crowd can give em a spark and push em for the win.

Nuh, give me a somewhat healthy Denver team. This gotta be a Playoff run for the ages...and we need good opponents to get there.

Certainly not a fan of LeBron, but it’s pretty unfair for him to take all the slings and arrows if they do blow it. 41 years old out there playing pretty much by himself.

I really thought he should’ve retired after he got the scoring record.
Meh, lol. I hate that team with a passion. If they do go down I'm going to enjoy every second of it. But yeah it won't be all his fault but he should get his to. Throughout his career when his teams did good it was always how great he did but when they failed it was always everyones elses fault but his and he needs help. Not to mention the coaches and players hes had fired or traded. Let's just say I'm not going to feel bad for the guy lol.

It's easily the most irrelevant series left.
Whoever advances will get embarrassed by OKC, they have no chance whatsoever.
Very true, but I’d love for the lakers to be the first team to ever blow a 3-0 series lead tbh :st-lol:. Don’t think they will though. Even if the Rockets win Game 6, I think lakers will close it out at home.

If they win, he will take all the credit. It is only fair that if they pull a historic choke, he takes the blame too.

They will need another big night from Dosunmu. The crowd will be electric, its their last chance.

Fresh legs Matter. If the Rox win game 6, they win game 7. Lakers need to close it tomorrow. No more two days rest between games

Reaves probably shakes off the rust by Game 7 if it gets there tbh. And there's no way the league is letting the Lakers be the first team to lose 3-0 so that whistle is gonna be particularly diabolical tbh :st-lol:

All remaining series are 3-2, with only the Spurs and Thunder advancing. Things should start to get very interesting now.

LeBron is clearly out of gas tbh. This shit is going 7.
Yep. I didn’t stay up for the second half, but I still thought LeBron and the Lakers would find enough to beat the Rockets who have looked bad. Ime Udoka has not impressed me with his ability to get his players ready and motivated to compete, but the Lakers looked bad in the first half last night. Maybe LeBron should sit out game 6 to get some rest before game 7.

Nah if he wants the world to be amazed that he’s statpadding at 41 he can take the criticism that comes with it. Truly a blight on NBA history and he can’t retire soon enough.

I am just flummoxed by the Lakers and the Rockets. Rockets are 6th in defence for the team, but they have have Reed Sheppard playing a rather prominent role, Sengen being their main guy, and JSJ (while being a good defender on paper, being lost on defence frequently) playing some of the heaviest minutes on the team.

Lakers are only 19th in defence, but they have stepped up in the playoffs. Part of it is because the Rockets can't shoot at all, especially without Durant, but Lebron is no longer his younger self, especially on defence. Kudos to him for going all out though. Obviously having Smart play more in place of Reaves helps, and Rui and Kennard stepping up in the absence of Luka is helpful, but they are really locking up the Rockets.

Watching them, I am not sure if it's just horrible offence by both teams, or just good defence coupled with mediocre offence at this point.

P.S. I have no issues with Lebron as a player, and yes, he had questionable comments and actions (the decision, Moreygate after all that social justice stuff, passive aggressive comments all the time, stringing teams along everywhere he goes, LeGM, etc...) but it's not like Jordan was any better as a person (serial cheater, caused his HS coach to go insane, lying all the time to motivate himself, gambler, glory hog, bully). Not many of these superstars are like Robinson or Duncan. They are pretty much all psychopaths.
