NBA Official 2026 NBA Playoffs Thread

But I think the extra day also helps Minny figure out an offensive gameplan without Ant/DD
denver is the team looking to get guys back from injury, and they're the ones whose stars have been playing much heavier minutes. and if anything, the extra gameplan time favors them. losing Donte/Edwards hurts the Wolves defense quite a bit, and the nuggets can just find a way to abuse guys like Hyland

next game feels like game 7 tbh. i cant fathom the wolves losing at home in game 6, having lost all momentum, and then winning short-handed in denver. barring any additional injuries of course

Boston looks mortal with Derrick White playing so poorly thus far. Think they'll still win this series, but they're a completely different team when D-White isn't playing like himself.
I can't stand Boston, but it sucks to see DW struggling to this degree.

I had Denver over San Antonio in 7 in the second round before the playoffs started, but Denver has looked bad enough that I would flip that to Spurs in 7 now, maybe even 6. Relentlessly attacking Jokic, moreso if Gordon is out, will pay dividends and the Spurs have the perfect guard trio to keep that pressure up.
Like i said in others threads , Denver can't defend, we are gonna score a lot in this series, but the spurs need to play a better defence than in the regular season (they average 136 pts) , if we do, we beat them in 6 at max, imo

Their issue was playing Valunciunas. They could have played Joker 40mins but as soon as they played Spurs owner Jonas, it was over for them tbh.
When I went to that game @ DEN I explained to Nuggs fans my fear of Jonas and they got a kick out of everytime I yelled “no big daddy nooooooo”

How we feeling about the second round? Seems to me the Spurs will be in prime position to take advantage of a team licking their wounds. I was concerned about both these teams before the postseason. But with the recent health developments it’d be disappointing if the Spurs don’t at least make the WCF.
I agree. If the Wolves miraculously beat Denver, they don't have enough firepower to beat the Spurs. Denver will be tired but if Gordon is healthy, the Spurs will still struggle against them and that won't be an easy series but ultimately I think that the Spurs can prevail in 6 or 7. In the other bracket, OKC will sweep the Lakers so will be fully rested for the conference finals.

It's dangerous to speculate after the first round- but so far only the Spurs look like they can give OKC a run for their money.
No one in the least. I thought at one point a healthy Denver could- but that's probably not going to happen.

All we have to do is not go into ISO ball and just move the ball like 3rd Qtr 4th game.

Then only OKC give Spurs a run for their money.

I didn’t like our ball movement after 1st Qtr yesterday.

Bones is what he is, but he's also been important for Minny this series. last 3 games he played 23, 19, and 15 minutes. he was also huge for them in game 2 despite playing just under 10 minutes. i dont know how many minutes you can afford to trot Conley out there
Not sure they can survive Conley minutes at all tbh. He's truly washed. They need Bones to play tomorrow night if he can go. Their season's on the line.

Derrick White has been insanely bad in the playoffs.
Has he really? Wow. I haven't watched any of their games. I thought he'd be one of their better performers. Edit : Just saw the post on this page after posting.

This has probably been shared in the forum already, but we could make use of Thiago’s services next season, tough luck for him to have his opportunity with the cheapest owner in the league
I don't understand what this guy is doing? Why is he cost cutting? If he can't afford to run the team, why did the NBA let him buy it? How did he end up with the team anyway?

Paul Allen was one of the richest owners, wasn't he? I don't see why the NBA let it go to a guy like that. It doesn't seem like winning is his priority if he's looking to cost cut.
