NBA Official 2026 NBA Playoffs Thread

Stop the Fox trade talk already. He’s a big reason why the series is 4-1. Twice he carried the team. I know Spurs have Wemby, Castle, Harper, but sometimes it takes a Fox to takeover games. I’m glad the Spurs got Fox. He’s the perfect guy for that job, still one of NBA clutch
I'm far from a Fox hater and I'm quite pleased with how he has accepted his diminished role on this team, but at the same time I'm realistic and realize Harper won't stay on the bench past his sophomore year. I know many Spurs fans expect Fox to accept a bench role and retire with us, but I think it would be more benefitial for the team to trade him for assets that keep us as a deep roster for years to come.

Hoping Minny can win one game before Watson and Gordon are back and full strength. Denver on a 3-game winning streak might be a tall order.

I'm very skeptical that Gordon (and to a lesser extent Watson) is gonna be 100% again these playoffs tbh. He might play but he's gonna be severely limited from what I've seen of him this postseason so far.

While it's up in the air whether or not losing game 82 against Denver was a bad move for Spurs, wining that game was surely a bad move for Nuggets. Rockets would have been a so much easier opponent for them than Wolves.

Their issue was playing Valunciunas. They could have played Joker 40mins but as soon as they played Spurs owner Jonas, it was over for them tbh.

Really super lame that we are gonna potentially be deprived of two big upsets (Orlando and Minny) because of injuries. Rough stuff to start the playoffs tbh.

How we feeling about the second round? Seems to me the Spurs will be in prime position to take advantage of a team licking their wounds. I was concerned about both these teams before the postseason. But with the recent health developments it’d be disappointing if the Spurs don’t at least make the WCF.

Spurs are going to play in the WCF against OKC, regardless imo

Gun to my head I would’ve said Denver beats the Spurs in 6 a month ago. And I would’ve been ok with that. But after watching them handle the physicality of Portland, adjust to playoff intensity rather quickly and watching Denver get outplayed by Minnesota my expectations changed.

Denver has been looking bad in this series, i have them winning in 7 and then losing to the spurs, but i can see Minnesota going all in tonigh and closing the series, its their last chance really

As is often said, 'careful what you wish for.' We will be ready for whoever we face.

I had Denver over San Antonio in 7 in the second round before the playoffs started, but Denver has looked bad enough that I would flip that to Spurs in 7 now, maybe even 6. Relentlessly attacking Jokic, moreso if Gordon is out, will pay dividends and the Spurs have the perfect guard trio to keep that pressure up.

Gordon has been in and out of the lineup, and was a game time decision before sitting out game 5. i would expect he'd be able to play in Game 6 given the 2 days off since then. the nuggets also have Peyton Watson hoping to get back soon. saw a report that said he is getting some on-court work they are still hopeful he'll see the court during round 1.
