NBA Official 2026 NBA Playoffs Thread

I can't trust you to google anything at work anymore man...
If you need to learn some Japanese cheers 'rettsu gou supaazu' is a good one. For real, I remember watching a Japanese streamer who asked how to say 'rettsu go' in English and then started dying laughing when she googled it and found out it was 'lets go' :st-lol:

Pistons made a mistake standing pat at the deadline. I hate it when teams think they are ahead of schedule when they so obviously have glaring flaws.

Expect them to get panicky and go after Kawhi/KD if they lose this series.

I'm torn on this Pistons-Magic series. I'd like both teams to win.

Pistons because I've always liked Cade's game and they never got the respect despite winning 60 games. It would be cool for them to prove the doubters wrong. Also, they would be a good matchup for us on a potential finals meeting.

The Magic because it would be hilarious for them to go on a big playoffs run after being declared done for the season.

I mean the Spurs have a glaring flaw in not having a real PF, which I hope won't rear its ugly head in the playoffs. But could if Luke turns an ankle and has to miss a couple of games.

We should all be rooting for the Celtics imo. Theyre our OKC insurance

Only way they can prove the doubters wrong would be by beating Boston or New York in the ECF. No one's gonna be impressed by them eeking out a series win over the most disappointing team in the league this season.

If they make it to the ECF, I think it would be enough for them not to be considered frauds, imho. Also, I would favour the Pistons in a potential matchup against the Knicks.

I'm tired of all the "ref you suck" chants.

The Pistons have 15 blocks as a team and the game isn't even over. If the Magic went at Wemby like that he could go for his quadruple double.

Magic underachieved in the regular season. They have 3 of 4 best players in the series (Banchero, F.Wagner, Bane). This should not be too shocking; talent carries the day in the playoffs

Not a fan on Banquero. Dude only shows fight when he's going for his own shot. One of the biggest guys out there and he's camped by the 3,pt line while his guards scrum for rebounds and loose balls.

Spurs are all set when it comes to main core guys/high-end talent; Pistons are clearly not. If Cade is your number 1 (iffy), then you better have strong and versatile number 2 guy (scoring/playmaking), which Duren/A.Thompson are not.

I can't stand the sight of another blown achilles, man. For the sake of Gordon's career and their own future, Denver should rule him indefinitely. Even they, deep down, know their title chances have already been shot
Calf injuries being a precursor to Achilles tears are basically a myth

If I'm Detroit this summer I'm definitely seeing if Dumars can pull a McHale / Jerry West for me and ship me Trey. Pistons have some interesting young talent they could pool for the trade and that core would be filthy with Cade and Duren.
