NBA Official 2026 NBA Playoffs Thread

Hopefully not Friday as I will be driving then tbh.
I'm in Japan from Wednesday to next Tuesday... I was hoping it would start after I'm back!!!

Did find randomly find a Tokyo based Spurs fan group, but sounds like they watch replays of the games or something, lol

I'd be a team that goes hard for one of the top line possible available players this summer, if I was Detroit. They have enough pieces to get a package together and need a boost.

* May 20: Western Conference Finals begin on NBC/Peacock (can move up to May 18)

Ant likely makes it back before WCF if we read into Wolves- release. Think we could see him back next round by Game 4 as long as the series isn't 0-3 (assuming Minny makes it).

Come to Singapore!

I’d like to think there’s no way SA isn’t up 2-1 at the minimum if Minnesota is playing without Ant and Donte.

As vulnerable as Denver has looked, I’d still comfortably pick the Minnesota matchup at this point.

The 2026 NBA Western Conference Semifinals are scheduled to begin on May 4, 2026, according to NBA.com's key dates. However, these games could potentially move up to begin as early as May 2 or May 3, 2026, depending on the conclusion of the first-round series.

Sounds like Spurs v DEN/MIN was slated to start on May 4 even if both series went to 7 (since OKC/LAL Game 7s are on May 3 and wouldn't have started 5/4 either way).

Might start on the 2nd or 3rd if both are wrapped up tomorrow. I still think DEN wins that series though.

Game 4 would be a home game for them. I could see him tempted to give it a go in hope they tie the series. But if they are down 0-3, there is no point in risking it.

Wtf how do they talk for them to sound like that?
:st-lol:

I didn't think Orlando belonged anywhere near the playoffs after watching that play-in game against the sixers. Pretty incredible how quickly they turned it around.

Mosley was basically a guarantee to get fired after this season, could they still really do that if the Magic make it to the semis?

If Gordon blows his Achilles, Denver medical staff should be fired and never again be employed by a professional sport institution. Criminal level of negligence with players' health this season.

My colleague is in Vegas today and I'm having him take the money line on Denver to win the series. I've seen this movie too many times before.
You know on second thought, it has been like Minnesota has been playing without Ant all series anyways. We're talking one of the most devastating and efficient scorers in the league, I mean dude shot 49% from the field and 40% from the three this season. Ridiculous for a perimeter guy. But he has never looked anything close to healthy since his late season injury and was shooting 36% from the field and 26% from the three this series against a defense he should be massacring the way Dosunmu is. if Gobert can keep up his god mode level of defense on Jokic is Denver gonna stop them?

Taking DEN to win in 7 is my hedge against my preferred outcome of facing the wounded T-Pups... but with Gordon out... this might just be Wolves in 5. Ayo time!

Make sure to bring them that karoshi beer

Magic underachieved in the regular season. They have 3 of 4 best players in the series (Banchero, F.Wagner, Bane). This should not be too shocking; talent carries the day in the playoffs

If Paolo can pull this off it will be the greatest Paolo moment since Martin Brundle confused him for Patrick Mahomes at the 2022 Miami Grand Prix
