NBA Official 2026 NBA Playoffs Thread

The burner isn't even the most recent thing with KD :st-lol:

Is everyone just casually overlooking the fact he didn't even join his team on the bench in Game 3 and only showed up for Game 4 because he took heat in the press for it?

The antithesis of a San Antonio Spur.

Didn't know KD played for the Pelicans and they were contenders? I also just learned from you that Kawhi's originally born and raised in Canada and always wanted to play there. And I don't recall getting Nazr Mohammed from the 76ers in 2005, but you might be right. The more you know!

But in all seriousness.... what other example does this apply do than Paul George, umm, I meant George Hill?
I was talking about trading Fox to Houston.

62-win team... contending for a title right now... young core in place...

Yep, let's definitely make our team worse because we're worried about the 2028 salary cap (btw, in case anyone needs a reminder... right around when Fox's deal becomes problematic there will 1) be an expansion draft and 2) both the NBA and the players can and most likely will opt out of the CBA and draft a new one)

It all comes out of that incident. I'm 90,65% sure he would be in his best behaviour with the Spurs, tbh. :st-lol:

As others have already posted... the rules were changed a few years ago. He didn't violate the rule, because it's not the rule anymore.

It was a dumb rule to begin with, and always makes me question the 2007 title a bit

though we should have won it in 2006, and I'd have probably rather had it that way instead. The Nash Suns did deserve one championship. At least more than the Dirk Ponies ever did.

That's sort of what I was referring to when I said he's quitting on HOU now tbh. Not only is he not playing, he wasn't even on the bench to support his guys. And now he's likely to get traded yet again this offseason for the 3rd time in 4 years. He's just a mercenary at this point in his career. No real loyalty to anything or anyone, on top of all the immature burner stuff.

Let’s say Minnesota, without Edwards and DiVincenzo, has just a 30% chance of winning Game 5, 40% chance of winning Game 6, and 30% chance of winning Game 7. That would mean their probability of winning the series is still 70.6%.

Does that sound counterintuitive? Well, remember that Denver still has to win three more times in order to advance. Minnesota only has to win once.
Think I'd put it more 20-30-20, which makes it a coin flip on who wins the series.

I think we would be making our team better, tbh.

Also, I'm sure not super interested in being anyone's second or third banana.

The last thing the Spurs need is another primary scoring option.

The only trade involving Fox that makes sense to me is the one where you are moving him and getting two or more elite role players back, but I don't know that option is even out there.

I'd say Minnesota has a 35% chance to win Game 5 (they have the momentum), 60% to win Game 6 (they'd be back at home and coming off a loss wanting retribution and revenge and knowing their backs are against the wall), and like 5% to win a Game 7 (they'd be mentally shattered by that point if they lost game 6 at home).

So

24.7% chance for Denver to win the series
75.3% chance for Minnesota to win

@Bruno Has been floating the idea of Fox to Houston for a deal centered around Jabari Smith.

I was never a big Jabari fan but I wouldnt hate it tbh. He's at least shown a little fight this series/season especially after KD literally called him retarded in the burner leaks :st-lol:

Elite size for the 4, good enough shooting and a semblance of secondary rim protection next to Victor.

Like I said, I knew it was an unpopular opinion. Like I said it was an unpopular opinion wanting to add CP3 and now everybody loves his stint here. I have no doubt in my mind KD would do great on this team, both on and off the court.

:st-lol: would be absolutely glorious if the Lakers were the first team to blow a 3-0 lead tbh. Unfortunately it would also come at the hands of the Rockets.
Who cares? Houston's reward would be getting the broom from OKC. The reverse sweep would be hilarious.

Not a bad idea tbh. Despite the disappointing start to his career after being the 2nd Overall pick, he's still only 22 and averaged 16/7/2/1/1 this season on 36% from 3, and he fits the defensively switchable stretch-4 archetype we're looking for. Would be a pretty good reclamation project imo and no doubt he'd improve here beside Wemby and co as a 4th or 5th option on any given night. Not sure HOU's willing to give up on him already but they do need a PG and 32 y.o. FVV coming off an ACL clearly isn't the long-term answer.

Oh, I must have missed where the rule was changed. Can you send me a link, please?

I'm hesitant to trade with HOU in a big trade but some role players might be just having a down year due to the recent cancer and could be had maybe?

So what is your guys opinion on Durant? Did he really quit on his teammates? Damn I almost feel bad for Rockets fans....almost.

He's someone who has serious mentality issues and insecurities, is just incapable of being happy and that always ruins the locker room relationships wherever he goes.

He needs his mom to be the coach.
She's the real MVP.
