NBA Official 2026 NBA Playoffs Thread

Boston’s bench has 32 points while the 76ers entire team has 32.

I don’t think there’s any question that Boston will be in the Finals and put up a tough series against whoever comes out of the West. They’re just so damn deep.

If the Spurs faced the C's in the Finals that would be a tough matchup. Mazulla is a wizard and has a great squad. Their 5 out offense neutralizes the Wemby Effect a bit. The way the Lakers are playing it could be an old-school Lakers/Celtics rivalry. Still a ton of basketball left to be played, but I'd say Celtics are the best bet out of the East and OKC, Lakers and Spurs are the front-runners in the West.

With Donte & Edwards confirmed out, Wolves best and only shot at winning this series now is Game 6 at home. Offense by committee with role players riding the home crowd leading to outlier performances and hope Gobert and overall team defense continue to frustrate Jokic and the Nuggets players who are ready to quit.

Otherwise, the smart money is on Nuggets in 7 after getting disgustingly bailed out by injuries in a series where they got outplayed for large majority of it.

I hope the Fakers can at least rough up OKC a bit tbh.
Luka can always go god mode and do us a solid to win that series tbh.

Hopefully Minny can close Denver out. As ass as Jokic has been, I have no doubt in my mind he’ll average 40 against us.

Watching Reed Sheppard getting pushed around, how long before this guy is out of the league?

I want the Thunder tbh

Im always tip toeing between wanting the hard path and the satisfaction of having gone through that (and the potential acceptable heartbreak in losing to the best team/s) or just taking the ring esp with all the injuries and uncertainties tbqh

You never ever ever throw a playoff game... but I wonder if the Lakers wouldn't be better off dropping a game here. OKC is going to sweep PHX and a LAL sweep just means that series starts even sooner. They probably want to give Luka and AR as much time as possible.

On the other hand, the league might just delay the start of that series for that exact reason... they already stretched out the schedule of this series with HOU a bit unreasonably.

LOL, Marcus Smart made the same inbound error as he did against us earlier in the year

Also better to let Reaves get his feet wet in a friendly home environment against an easier opponent imo. Throwing both Doncic and Reaves back into the fire on the road against a physical OKC team would be rough, though maybe their first game back in the same arena they both got hurt in (also considering how the interaction went when Luka went down with the fans) will light a fire under their asses.

:st-lol: can't even say the Rockets have quit, they just legit suck. If they don't make any changes this offseason and just pray FVV will fix everything they're an unserious franchise tbh.

Rockets probably could have gotten Tre Jones for Eason or some seconds and they’d be a 2nd round team this year. Cant believe they never even bothered to replace FVV, he got hurt in training camp tbh

Even at least taking a flyer on Tre's brother Tyus or trying to lure Conley (as washed as he is he's still a viable PG with loads of playoff experience) would've made a difference tbh. Wouldn't of had to give up anything for either.

It might actually be benefitial for the Lakers to lose tonight. They want to delay the start of the OKC series as much as possible.

Unless Rockets-Lakers go seven, that Thunder-LAL series should start before (hopefully) Spurs-MIN/Denver. WCSFs start May 2nd or 3rd (Sat/Sun) at the earliest. Unless the Wolves close out in 6 (unlikely), Spurs are looking at a Monday May 4th tipoff for their potential second round. Absolutely need to finish off Blazers on Tuesday.

I always call it a pride game -- when a team has to win to fend off a sweep, especially at home. Rockets are struggling to do it even without facing Reaves and Doncic.
