NBA Official 2026 NBA Playoffs Thread

Yes, our Championship teams were awesome, and would smoke these two teams. Hence, if we can’t beat both these teams we are far away from winning a championship, and would convince me let Castle or Harper loose for Giannis.

NOT a chance. I’m a big fan of Giannis, but his body is completely broken down. Prior to this season even when he was playing 60+ games he was always on the injury report with some sort of knee issue the Bucks were managing. Often a GTD. His prime is over. We have a super young potential big 3 here. Let it cook.

Convinced the giannis guys are either young/2kheads or just don’t keep up with basketball.

Once you’re on a decline that’s it if you have no other intelligent skills. Duncan, Jordan, Kobe, dirk, Garnett etc all adjusted when their athleticism fell off.

Giannis didn’t earn the run and dunk man nickname for nothing. Useless on offense when his athleticism is gone and it’s currently going away. It’s going to get uglier

Westbrook another example. Iverson before him.

Too many years playing downhill right into contact and also not giving himself rest in the off-season. His peak is definitely gone. Also, why we need Victor to start playing smarter with his body. Starting next season.

They really "didn't mind" getting the Wolves in first round knowing their health red flags? Absolute clowns tbh :st-lol:

Like the Spurs, they tried to be half pregnant (playing Valanciunas against a C less opponent) in the finale. It seems likely they'll have at least one of Gordon or Watson available in the back half, but it might increase the mileage on Jokic and Murray and the cumulative effect could take its toll down the line.

On a lesser scale, it's a similar story with Williams. Even if he barely plays, the Thunder would still beat a healthy Lakers, but it obviously puts more on Gilgeous-Alexander's plate in the meantime.

I prefer Den better than MIN honestly speaking.

In both games they were clearly better team even ANT 70% healthy.

The Bucks probably repeat if Middleton doesn’t go down in Game 2 in the first round back in 22.

The Bucks were kind of my side team cause of Bud at that time. It sucked to see them dealing with a major injury before the playoffs for three straight years.

Just goes to show that in pro sports the window rarely stays open as long as you think it well. That what makes the Duncan Spurs one in a million.

The Nuggets have all things needed to expose the Spurs lack of PF and lessen Wembanyama's impact: One of the two players with an argument for still being better, front court bulk, five out spacing and an ideal defender for him.

Man this Hawks team is a lot of fun. Now that I come to terms with the fact they won’t give us another good draft pick I can root for them.

But their defense is way worse than Wolves which might allow Spurs' extremely suspect half-court offense more margin to manufacture points. Fox/Castle/Harper are struggling against Portland perimeter length; McDaniels/Edwards will be as stifling, added more experience and pedigree..

I'm leaning more to "you can't have a choice here"; both will be equally challenging. It's difficult to deny T'Wolves resilience and how they appear tailor-made for these playoffs tussles. That Game 2 win was as gutsy as they come

I find myself kinda rooting for the Hawks in this series. Mainly for the lolz of the Knicks losing but Hawks are fun to watch too.
