NBA Official 2026 NBA Playoffs Thread

Can we not say "J-Will to the locker room" with no footage going to break when it's JAYLIN instead of the good one? Who gives a shit?
It’s your fault for not knowing that j-dub is the good one and j will is the shit one /s 🤓

easily the most hatable team of the 21st century

Although manu got injured in the last game of the regular season and missed game 1 that wasnt ghe reason they loss. They loss because duncan getting older and was out of shape due to extreme load management, richard jefferson sucked, bonner was part of the rotation and played big minutes and it was a bad matchup. Zbo dominated our bigs.
George Hill and Gary Neal were both trash that series too outside of Neal's game-tying 3 in Game 5 to force OT. Both shot like 26% from 3 that series.

2011. 8 seed grizzlies beat 1 seed spurs.
Yep you are right forgot that was 2011 and I called that as a Spurs fan before the playoffs we were going out round 1 I got so much hate said the team was not as good as people thought

The beginning of the end was that March afternoon Laker game where the Spurs were down by 30. I personally believe the Spurs were never quite right after that.

I remember when the first round was 5 games you had more upsets the last big upset of the bottom team of a top team since they switched to seven games that I can think off was Golden State vs Mavericks 2007 that team had former Spur Stephen Jackson on that team
Also 2023 8 seed heat vs 1 seed bucks.

Pretty underwhelming first weekend of NBA playoffs. Not much compelling in the offing due to key players either out injured (Embiid, Luka, Reaves) or playing banged up (Ant, KD,, Booker etc)..

Potential great series: Knicks-Celtics, Spurs-Nuggets, WCF, and Finals (involving Celtics). That's about it.

Agenda pushers salivating at the fodder tonight/tomorrow morning.

Embiid being out, the Hornets narrowly missing, Edwards and McDaniels being banged up, Doncic and Reaves being injured and Durant missing game 1 conspired to sap intrigue, even though only the Lakers/Timberwolves (presuming they'd have been 3/6) would have otherwise advanced.

Jaylin Williams is the shittier Williams but he's been real solid for a 2nd round pick. Not sure you can ask for more there realistically.

Him turning into a 3PT sniper has been huge for them tbh. He's at 38% from beyond the arc this season. Huge weapon for them off the bench and no doubt they would play him heavy minutes in a hypothetical matchup versus the Spurs to draw Wemby away from the basket.

Suns don't have a chance if 2 of their 5 in the SL put up stats like this:

SGA shot 5-18 FG/0-4 3PT and his team won a playoff game by 35

thunder fans will still call wemby a superteam merchant though :st-lol:
