NBA Official 2026 NBA Playoffs Thread

What fuckin bullshit that the refs had to be begged to review…

Had royce not stayed down…they were ready to move on…but when it was okc hit- they were sprinting to the review table lol

OKC’s easy bracket got me thinking that the Spurs never got a path this easy when they were the defending champions.Crazy. The one time they did everything right and got the 1-seed, their reward was a red hot Kings team in the first round and a 60 win Mavs team in round 2 😂

It was always agonizing the path the Spurs got when they were defending champs. The '06 Path really angered me when the league tried to experiment with a new bs division rankings system by having 3 divisions in the conference and whoever won their division got a top 3 seed regardless of how bad their record was. The Mavs obviously didn't win their division since the Spurs were in the same division and because of that they ended up as the 4th seed despite winning 60 games that year and having the second best record in the west. This forced a second round match up that shouldn't have happened which if the Division bs ranking system didn't exist would have resulted in the Spurs facing the Mavs in the WCF instead of the second round. Meeting the Mavs earlier was a much harder match up due to the Mavs being well rested after sweeping the Gasol Grizzlies while the Spurs were somewhat wounded and not rested after coming off of a difficult physical series with the Artest Kings. I think had the Spurs faced the Mavs later on in the playoffs things would have been different instead of having to face them while wounded and not rested.

The irony of it was the league scrapped that stupid Division ranking system after the playoffs ended.

What's even the point of this shit? Go back to best 3 of 5 for the first two rounds and get this shit moving :st-pctoss:
As much as I hate the first round format of best of 7 there are moments that I'm thankful it was the best of 7 especially during the Spurs championship years primarily '03 against the Suns and in '14 when the Mavs pushed them to 7 and even took a 2-1 lead. Could you imagine if that series was best of 5 of how different it could have turned out.

Sweet Jesus, just realized the game before ours is Detroit-Orlando, which is gonna be a SLOW (boring) ass series. I think that 9pm tip is at risk tbh.

I think they might have overlapping streams that you can select individually. Prime did that yesterday

we would have won 3-2 ?

I remember when the first round was 5 games you had more upsets the last big upset of the bottom team of a top team since they switched to seven games that I can think off was Golden State vs Mavericks 2007 that team had former Spur Stephen Jackson on that team
2011. 8 seed grizzlies beat 1 seed spurs.

suns have zero playable centers, which is crazy because I thought they had like six of them. Did they trade away Richard’s?

Might as well play Fleming. He’s definitely a better threat than the non-offense they’re getting from their other big men.

OKC dominating with their bench playing lots of minutes in that first half. Annoying how deep this team is tbh. Their starters are going to be so well-rested by the Conference Finals.

That sucked, forgot that one. Remind me what happened there? Were we just old as hell, or (and) were we missing a key player?
Although manu got injured in the last game of the regular season and missed game 1 that wasnt ghe reason they loss. They loss because duncan getting older and was out of shape due to extreme load management, richard jefferson sucked, bonner was part of the rotation and played big minutes and it was a bad matchup. Zbo dominated our bigs.

Can we not say "J-Will to the locker room" with no footage going to break when it's JAYLIN instead of the good one? Who gives a shit?
