NBA Official 2026 NBA Playoffs Thread

That was...not a high-quality Kawhi performance. He mailed it in. Like, he didn't even want the ball. That was not Hall of Fame defense. That was just...he bitched out.

Wasn't this supposed to be the city that he wanted to be in? Wasn't this supposed to be the situation that he wanted to be in? Wasn't this the team that he moved heaven and earth to get to?

Just did my daily roll on tankathon and it was practically worst case

1. Dallas - Darryn Peterson
2. OKC - Cam Boozer
3. Utah - AJ Dybantsa
4. Memphis - Caleb Wilson
5. Clippers - Kingston Flemings

If this happens, I want Spurs to go high risk, high reward for their pick. They need to out-talent the Thunder.

I was hoping the Clippers would pull it off for two reasons. One to keep OKC’s pick out of the lottery. Two I felt on paper the Clippers could give OKC the toughest time out of the last three play-in teams. I figured Kawhi going nuclear on them the way Bonzi Wells did against us in 2006 would at least make OKC sweat a little bit.

The only way this situation can be redeemed is if the Warriors can somehow pull off an upset on the Thunder.

I know I'm late with this but I just saw the clip of Lamelo pulling Bams leg. Man that shit was dirty.
Especially if you watch the angle from underneath the basket panning out.
Ya it's brutal. Would be a suspension in a real basketball league.
Vs from halfcourt zooming in.

OKC are 8-0 against the Clippers going back to 2024. They've beat them by an average of 20 PPG in their 3 matchups this season. It would've been a clean sweep tbh.

Agreed, though it'd be nice if they lost both iHart and Dort in Free Agency just to thin them out a bit tbh.
I'll believe in Dort leaving OKC when I see it tbh. He's like their Keldon, been a leader in that locker room since the start alongside SGA.

I was referring to players with star potential.
OKC definitely have better role players right now.
Until our guys prove they can translate their game to the playoffs, that is.

Wemby/SGA, let's call it even for the sake of discussion, but Wemby will be the clear best player in the league next season.
Castle/Chet, it doesn't look like Chet has another level in him, he can just be a better version than his current self, while Castle could easily become a legit superstar.
Fox/Williams, would've been an easy choice last season, but Williams can't seem to stay healthy and get his shooting touch back.
Harper/Mitchell, it's not even close, Harper's ceiling is close to SGA and easily higher than anyone else on Thunder roster.

Fox is not even a full year older than SGA, btw.

When will OKC really start having to make decisions about their roster because of money? Lot of chatter about Wallace's new deal this summer, but not sure what that means for their other guys (or even someone like Williams)

Hartenstein and one of Dort/Caruso are definitely gone this summer, maybe both.

Yup. I'm surprised they didn't upgrade it to a flagrant 2 and throw him out but then again it is Lamelo and was a play-in game so I guess not really surprised.

I think they just trade JDub this Summer myself tbh. Allows them to keep everyone else and restock the war chest a bit.

I didn’t watch the game but just saw Al Horford hit 3 triples in a row in the last few minutes and 4 in the final period 😂😂

Imagine your season ending to a Al Horford 3 point barrage.

Better than an Andre Drummond corner 3 sending you home and probably getting multiple people fired 5 minutes after you lose to Charlotte like the Magic :st-lol:

Don't know who is going to want J-Dub on a max deal coming off wrist and hamstring injuries. Thunder might have to attach some picks to get rid of him.
They're not trading him unless he completely disappears in the playoffs.
Hartenstein and Caruso or Dort are gone, as is Kenrich Williams.

As much as I wanna see Nephew fail, unreal that the Thunder will actually get a lottery pick, possibly 11th with a ~10% chance at a top 4.

That one Clippers trade really is the gift that keeps on giving.
The good news is that this closes out the Paul George trade...

The bad news is that LAC still owes OKC another swap next year for the James Harden trade from PHI to LAC...
