Spurs looking bad. Their lack of a half court offense is hurting them here...
Translates to the lack of creativity from the coaching staff. Who IS the whole coaching staff? They need to get together and craft a game plan on offense.
Kornet - dude he gets the ball and stands to hand it off like a Hot potato - will not shoot a midrange shot at all ( I’m sure other teams see this).
Castle - he bull rushes the paint and throws himself around granted some fouls should’ve been called. This is the identity he’s developing for himself and the refs will put him on ignore.
Fox - when he is struggling and dragging the team down, Mitch will just ride with him (because he’s a vet?). Pull him and give Harper more PT. On the plus side he is the only one with a midrange shot that I can see. Everyone else is pretty much 3 pointers outside of the obvious alley oop or layup.
Keldon - always tries to position himself for that little right jump hook of his. I’ll have to see if he goes left at all.
I point these things out and yet wonder if the coaching staff says anything at all about these details.
Overall - no motion on offense - everyone stands at the 3 or line and watch Wemby.
On defense - guard your man and stop with the double team and then scramble to the corner with the”hope” defense (as in hope the guy misses the open 3).
I had Spurs in 5 before the series started.
NOW - Spurs in 6
