NBA Official 2026 NBA Playoffs Thread

Honestly , like i say before, the Wolves are a Bad matchup for Denver, they are long and atlétic , and aren't scared of them. I still can see the Nuggets winning the series, but not as clear as before, and definetly not if Gordon is'n returning

Damn Nuggets are getting punked by the Wolves right now :st-lmao:

I actually like the Joker but after all those Nuggets fans talking shit online after our matchups, I hope the Wolves break their hearts.

Translates to the lack of creativity from the coaching staff. Who IS the whole coaching staff? They need to get together and craft a game plan on offense.

Kornet - dude he gets the ball and stands to hand it off like a Hot potato - will not shoot a midrange shot at all ( I’m sure other teams see this).

Castle - he bull rushes the paint and throws himself around granted some fouls should’ve been called. This is the identity he’s developing for himself and the refs will put him on ignore.

Fox - when he is struggling and dragging the team down, Mitch will just ride with him (because he’s a vet?). Pull him and give Harper more PT. On the plus side he is the only one with a midrange shot that I can see. Everyone else is pretty much 3 pointers outside of the obvious alley oop or layup.

Keldon - always tries to position himself for that little right jump hook of his. I’ll have to see if he goes left at all.

I point these things out and yet wonder if the coaching staff says anything at all about these details.

Overall - no motion on offense - everyone stands at the 3 or line and watch Wemby.

On defense - guard your man and stop with the double team and then scramble to the corner with the”hope” defense (as in hope the guy misses the open 3).

I had Spurs in 5 before the series started.
NOW - Spurs in 6
Great analysis

There is nothing Gobert does defensively that Vic can't do better.
The only difference is strength and the other guys on Minny being disciplined enough to stay on their man and/or not get picked off and force to a switch on Jokic.
Gobert gets pushed and bullied inside by Jokic, too, only that he's a tad less likely to get moved around after 2 or 3 counter-moves unlike Vic.
Still, the kid does as good a job as any; those 40 pts Jokic averages against the Spurs are mostly against the other guys on the team getting caught on a switch against the fat fuck.

Nice to see others agreeing with my take from weeks ago that the Nuggets would be a better matchup for us than the Timberwolves.

Also, Brunson on defense:

Damn, we were pissing out pants about Denver but they look pretty average.
They match up well with the Spurs when healthy but people freaked out too much and acted like they have some mental edge over us even though we played 3 out of 4 of the regular season games without Wemby.

Den is beatable.

Min depth really worries me.

Min are playing out of their mind right now driving to basket and Vic can single handedly change that.

Ayo and Mcdaniels are looking solid. Vic can negate their strengths. my worry is Donte Divincenzo.

They look long and athletic out there too. (No homo) Quick as hell. 1-2 steps ahead of Denver on every drive. Gonna be a rough round 2 matchup if we meet tbh

But they really are? i mean Denver defense is horrific, but we can't stop their offense, they average 136 pts per game againts us this year

Nuggs/Minny series are weird tbh. Gonna have to see what Gordon’s status is for Game 4 before I bury Denver tbh. Ant looks like he’s got one working knee as well.

The difference is gobert and mcdaniels was able to slow down jokic and murray. Wemby the unanimous dpoy cant even slow down jokic for some reason.

Wemby played just 1 game agains them and they scored 124 in regulation.
He had 18 rebounds and 5 blocks in that game, Denver made 19 threes on 41% shooting.

This is the absolute last time I'm saying this. Stop trolling or you're getting permabanned and not just for a day.
Literally everyone is sick of your low level trolling and it's just the ownership's goodwill that you're still allowed to do it while being ignored by like 50 people.

Really trolling? Im just posting my opinion. Gobert is doing a great job defensively on jokic than wemby. Why cant you accept that?
