Trade Official 2025-2026 Trade Deadline Thread

Wow, did you guys think teams would want Kawhi? I'm surprised if teams want him due to his sketchy availability. sure form wise he's looking good, bnt do teams want to risk taking him on? So are the Clippers letting Kawhi think about it the rest of the season? It's too late to ask him now if he wants to be traded.for this season.

Even with the teardown, the Clips are ahead of 5 teams that either have a reason to tank or are so far behind that they can't realistically catch up: Kings, Mavs, Jazz, Grizz, Pelicans. That puts the Clips in the play-in almost by default, and if Number Two can go nuclear for a game or two the Clips can sneak into the 8 seed and deny the Thunder a lottery pick.

On second read, that looks like pure hopium.

They really don't have much incentive to tank either outside of their games with the Pacers.

They lost talent but I think they'll still compete tbh.
they play much better with a spacing big like Lopez than with Zubac. It's just that they only have Brook Lopez and Niederhauser who can't shoot.

Yeah. At this point .. I wish the Spurs worry less about where the Clips to OKC pick lands and instead take hay when the barn is on fire.

They didn't trade Harden and Zubac for nothing.
Mathurin and Garland are good players. It's a downgrade, but not a downgrade that would result in them not winning any games.
They'll surely get ~10 more wins, which will be enough for the play-in.

if garland can stay healthy, i can see the clippers winning ten more games.

Agreed. He's got his money and his mansion in LA and now he has a reason to miss as many games as he wants. He's content imo.

Plus all the other under the table shit from Balmer that we don't even know about. Nephew ain't going anywhere :st-lol:

wtf is Indiana doing? That 2026 pick has a really good chance of conveying
They are smart. They will keep the pick if its in the top 4 - Peterson/Dybantsa/Boozer/Wilson or Flemings. And they have a 52% chance of landing there as things stand. They get Zubac instead of a 5-9 pick in the 2026 draft, which is a good trade-off, I think.

Seems pretty dumb to only protect 1-4
Maybe they don't rate anyone in #5-10 range.
At least not more than Zubac.

Don't forget that OKC owns LAC 2027 swap, meaning it's in our interest for the Clippers to be decent next season.

At the end of the deadline, only three teams haven't done anything - Miami, Houston, San Antonio.

Surprised Houston hasn't done another to address PG. Glad they didn't...
