Trade Official 2025-2026 Trade Deadline Thread

It would be insane to have all this expiring salary and not do anything. Maybe I’m just out of touch with today’s trade market.
"all this expiring" being Oly +Sochan or are you thinking that plus our "starting" 4? Do you realize all those expirings play the 4?
It would be insane for the team with the 3rd best record in the the league after 50 games to do nothing! INSANE. PULL EVERY LEVER, IT"D BE INSANE NOT TOO.
Gotta pull levers for the sake of pulling levers, we're only on pace to win 33+ more games than the year before. It'd be too sane to be the only team to ever win 30+ more games without adding a 1st ballot HOFer. TikTok and X won't give us dues without a splash move= unacceptable.

Seeing some reports that the spurs have called the nets on MPJ but so far the price has been to high :st-shocked:

Now that would be a big balls move :st-shocked:

I hope they can find a way to swing say Santi Aldama or MPJ, but I wouldn't want to just trade it for the sake of trading it like ATL just did for Kuminga who makes no sense on their roster.

The trade deadline is tomorrow yet we’re getting this many trades the day before? Feels unusual.
Seems like the "giannis is not getting traded so we won't be part of a 3 or 4 team deal" moratorium has been lifted so trades that would have happened 2 days ago are happening now

Been mentioned, but an Olynyk/Klay swap would make sense for both teams tbh. Would at least address our shooting issues and he can function as a small-ball PF like Barnes. Also brings elite postseason experience if this team is serious about going for it this year.

You mean they want us to package in Sochan as well?! Their greed knows no bounds.

All jokes aside (and there are a lot of jokes about this dumb trade), why did Warriors do it? Serious question. I'm not too savvy with cap stuff or their future contracts. It just seems like a terrible trade to me.
When people aren't qualified for the job they have they tend to do do dumb nonsensical things because you know, they don't know any better.

You can't find a more unqualified GM in the nba than lil dunleavey

I wouldn't mind it since he only has one more year on his deal and might be worth it to see if he can shoot again when playing with a point guard.

We are so caught up in our moral loss but the Rockets just suffered probably the worst loss of the season by a suppossed contending team: fully healthy (sans the guys that are out for the season) and rested at home vs a Celtics team without Brown and in the 2nd night of a B2B. Not only they lose, they get blown the fuck out.

If I'm the Rockets, I'm trading one or two of my extremely flawed "core guys" (Sengun and Amen) and going all in for Giannis. See if you can luck into a championship in the next couple of years with Giannis and KD and if not, no worries, just blow it up and tank to try and get real franchise players this time. None of this Sengun/Amen bullshit, tbh.

Well I mean we are expecting more from our team and rightfully so. Sengun isnt really a #1 guy and Amen is a worse offensive player than Castle.

Sengun + picks for Giannis would probably work tbh

This has always been so obvious, I don't know why so many people (including respected pundits) are so high on them.

They are textbook pretenders from day 1, starting with that coach that the Celtics had to get rid of to start winning for real. I wonder what @djohn2oo8 is up to, tbh?

They went all in with KD and they’re going down with it. They shouldve went for Booker instead tbh. Now that’s a true #1 that is actually in his prime.

Those same pundits still considered Sochan a rotation player when talking about the Spurs tbh. Always painstakingly obvious that people who get paid to watch the NBA don’t actually do.

Milwaukee wouldn't want just Draymond Green and KP for Giannis, would they? I don't think draft picks alone would make up the difference for them to be interested. I think they still want usable player or two, or at least a young player or two with potential. That's why they want Jaden McDaniels.
um, what exactly do you think Jaden is or could be? How much longer do you think Jaden's runway is????
Dude is in his 6th season, will be 26 next year, having easily his best season...and he's very clearly a ROLE player, likely virtually 0 star potential. Dude is a high end role player, but little chance to be a star, pretty much 0 chance to be a super star (all-NBA). Kuminga is garbage, Jaden is a much better player, but Kuminga has much more "star" potential than Jaden, potential to be "the guy". It's not a great comp, but Keldon scored 22ppg bc volume/role, Keldon could be "the guy"...Kuminga could do that. Knick's Julius Randle is a better comp, and really don't think Jaden could come close to that, he not "the guy", its just not who he is/how he plays
