Trade Official 2025-2026 Trade Deadline Thread

Did the Bulls just get better this yr by trading Sexton for White?
And they somehow still have four (4!) 6'3" expiring shooting guards that can really shoot the 3 + Okoro. They're not done!
They're gonna acquire every one until they find the one Houston likes hahaha

That was worse than the Horry on Nash hip check. What was he thinking?
And Nash was waiting for the hit and flopped to make it look more dramatic. That mascot has no peripheral vision whatsoever.

Not sure why, but that kinda scares me.
I could actually see him turning it around in Hou, finding his NOP 3pt stroke and being a very nice 2-way bench player.
On second thought I think he goes to Minny which is worrisome tbh.

What an embarrassing way for the point gawd to go out :st-cry:
That's what'll happen when you're only willing to play for 1 or 2 teams that don't have any need for another PG/defensive liability at the end of your career.

I still think he should've gone to Minny on a vet min deal. They've had Conley + Bones + Dillingham playing over 40mpg, even a washed CP3 could give them a meaningful 15 minutes of better ball, be in a position to maybe help a champ contender.
Although it is interesting that the Clips were 5-16 before shutting CP3 down, and 18-10 without him. Maybe coming off the bench he was a total malcontent and a locker room anchor.

OKC salary cap crunch starts next year paying JDUB Chet and SGA 40 mil a piece. After next year it gets REALLY crazy when SGA average salary is 70 mil a season. No way they going to be able to keep all their other guards so somebody like McCain is exactly the type of player they are going to have to go for unless ownership is willing to eat that second apron tax money.

NBA salaries are really getting insane. With the way the cap is rising if Wemby was to get to a second super max contract with the spurs it would legit start averaging out around mid 80 million a season and his player option year might legit be more than 100 million by itself that season.
You can only pay 126.7% of the cap before hitting the aprons which is a huge part of why I don't want Giannis. 35% of the cap for a declining old guy is suicide while the Spurs will be setup pretty decently paying around 30% of the cap to Wemby, 25% to Castle, and 25% to Harper in four years. Gives you around 45% of the cap to spend on supporting guys which is enough to make a good 8 man rotation and from there it's cheap rookies and minimums.

Mormons forming a nice team, tbh.
Yeah, the lottery balls bounce right and they could be scary as soon as next yr.
George looks legit, Bailey's got all of the potential, Kessler +Sensa + Collier look like real pieces, Flip may be too. Svi is on a Champ like contract/excellent end rotation guy.
And obvi Lauri and JJJ could be great second tier guys if Kessler + Flip + Bailey et al can cover they're rebounding flaws. Lots of one-dimensional guys, but pretty damn good balance and great size pretty much everywhere. 9 solid guys today + their pick, JJJ may be the only one thats not easily movable this offseason, but a strong finish to the season and he can substantially up his value.
They've been unlucky, but Ainge has assembled some real talent.

Also I'd love to snag Niang once he's bought out, assuming he can return this season. Dude has been one of the best volume 3pt shooter his whole career, 40% over 9 season, taking over 2/3 of all shots from 3. Solid defender, doesn't board but I'd much rather have him than JMac or BB (or Sochan or Oly).

Harden is 36, Garland is 26. If you don't own your picks, getting younger while trading players on a similar level makes total sense. Cleveland is actually the dumb team here. A lot depends on Garland's health though. He's been out for 2 seasons now with toe injuries.
Donovan Mitchell specifically asked for Harden. Gonna be funny when Mitchell doesn't sign the extension in the summer and they trade have to trade him.

Lauri is actually a decent rebounder (in the 60s in percentile for both ORB and DRB rate), it's JJJ who is shockingly bad

The Bulls really don't get enough hate for being the 3rd biggest market in the league and being absolute shit since MJ left save for a few years of the DRose teams.

Reisdendorf should have been forced to sell years ago tbh.
That's pretty much the historical norm for them outside the Jordan years. Magic said he was going back to Michigan State if they won the coin toss in 1979. :ROFLMAO:
