Trade Official 2025-2026 Trade Deadline Thread

yes when supporting players take on primary roles, things look a lot worse. they were light years ahead due to the splash bros being a dominant offensive force that wound up changing the game. when lacob made that comment i dont think he was referring to festus ezeli and brandon rush
You know what's light years ahead? When your top 10 all time franchise player retires and you win 61 games the season after.
Have never understood the obsession of some to try and diminish the achievement of other teams or players, as though only Spurs titles are worthy of glory while every other requires footnotes.
has more to do with them being arrogant and thinking they are above everybody else, only to be humbled right after. It's even a thing among Warriors fans to be trolling the "light years ahead" comment. They call Lacob "Joe Light Years".

That's actual exceptionally bad seeing as how the whole reason they traded Conley, Gobert, and Mitchell, is because they were tired of losing in the second round. Years later they have 2 lesser players, useless picks, and a team that probably can't rise above the play in unless another team or two gets injuries. And aint no way Jaren Jackson staying there a second longer than he has to :st-rollin:

Utah a cautionary tale of when blowing it up goes wrong.
They're gonna look brilliant if they get the #1 pick and draft Peterson. Not so much if they get the #3 pick and draft Boozer though :st-lol:

Warriors really were in fantastic shape. They even lost Klay and got a top pick one year. But they drafted lotto players who outright sucked or didn't really pan out. Like, three big misses.

Warriors could've had Markkanen in 2024, but decided Podziemski and Kuminga were untouchable.

They really should have pulled the trigger.

And I think they picked Draymond over Klay? I don't remember, but keeping Draymond didn't really work either.

They offered Klay 40/2, he wanted 48/2 and took 50/3 from the Mavs.

yes when your franchise player was coming off his age 39 season and the franchise had already adjusted to your gradual decline, having just landed LMA the year prior and then signed Gasol to replace Duncan immediately

we didn't have a franchise player, we had a team

Assuming the Vooch trade means the Celtics aren't trading away Hauser.

were there any recent rumors about them wanting to move Hauser? i always saw him as one of the guys they'd least want to move given his contract

Everything I saw from Celtics boards had him as a likely trade candidate for a big if they weren't able to move Simons. Moot now that they've accomplished both and are under the apron. But no, nothing from the media tbh.

he's on the first year of a 4/45 deal. on a team looking to trim the budget he's exactly the type of guy they'd never move

Ugh if Giannis moves West, might as well eliminate the East/West format and make it the best 16 teams make the playoffs.

No way on earth the jazz get the number 1 pick. NBA going to make sure the Groomtah Jazz stay off of national television as much as possible :st-lol:

Does that make Memphis the new pick champions (they already got a lot for Bane)?
