Trade Official 2025-2026 Trade Deadline Thread

So it is a firesale in Memphis. Kinda like it for Jazz despite the big money. Free agency is dead; you're only getting talent through trades and Utah were never a destination to begin with..

They may not be a future contender, but Will Hardy will get them to perennial 6th-8th seed in the West. And that's fine outcome for that market

Grizzlies picks
2026: MEM
2027: MEM, LAL, best of CLE/MIN/UTA
2028: MEM
2029: best of MEM/ORL
2030: ORL, second best of MEM/WAS/PHX
2031: MEM, PHX
Their own picks look to be the best. The rest will be mediocre -- if WAS keeps improving. PHX may be bad at that point, but they've turned it around.

Aldama about to go to the Lakers for some SRPs because Brian Wright thinks Wemby's not ready enough for us to make a trade

This gets blue font for now, but it will be rage infused red font if it actually ended up true

Utah trade is intriguing, I didn't see them being players on that level this year. I hope this opens the door to Aldama or even Wells being on the market. Both would fit the Spurs. The wheelin' and dealin' have begun!!!!

It's absolutely not irrelevant. That's a massive amount of the cap vacuumed up by two one-dimensional players, neither of which can lead a team into the playoffs.
It's Utah, they have to overpay guys like that or draft well to be relevent. Those two for 80 mil wouldnt change their roster at all

Damn... seems like a bad move for the Pistons, but they really need shooting... what is MIN clearing space for?!? Hmmmmm
Ivey looks done, ruined by injuries.
Got other expirings for him and moved up in the draft, seems fair.

They probably have the best scouting department in the entire league; they will get plenty of late draft/second round gems even in weak classes. Memphis could be back in playoffs in just 3 years if Edey/Wells/Coward develops well and stay healthy on top of the influx of new talent..

interesting that Coby White, who's been a T-Wolves trade target, ain't going to Minny in this deal. Ja Morant or Giannis to the Wolves might happen....

Love what the Grizz are doing. Maybe should have done it sooner but it's a great strategy given how the West is right now + their scouting department.

I like what Wolves have done. Going under 1st appron and they gave up swapping late pick for even later pick.

Spurs and Okc already being at the top likely makes every other team think of rebuilding
