Player Mason Plumlee is signing a 10-day contract with the San Antonio Spurs [Shams]

I get it…but plumlee is not any better than even sochan? Make that make sense?
Bigger body, seeks contact, can hold his own with Steven Adams, could give us some value vs Minnesota, Houston,OKC and Phoenix. Entirely different skillset than Sochan. Better is not the question, though he probably is. I'd love to see the Knicks in the Finals and further prove my postulate.

It will be spurs vs pistons and it wont be easy…

But if it was spurs vs knicks…i am sure alvarado, sochan, mitchell robinson, hart and foul-merchant brunson would be a pain in the ass to tolerate…

When healthy, Plumlee is still probably an upgrade on Biyombo and rostering both would be a waste of a spot, so they should convert the latter into some non player role to where he can still be around the team, without taking up a spot that would be better utilized on a stretch four.

Wonder what DeJuan Blair is up to these days
Yea....thought he was playing for Austin in the G league a few years ago.

He was drafted in 2009. Most 2010 draft picks and earlier are retired already

Exactly, let bb serve out his waiver as another wemby trainer

Somebody check on Pop dude probably needs help getting his boner under control he's had a raging for Plumlee for years now :st-lol:

Now buyout Bismack and make him Wembys personal warmupper only. Then use the roster spot on any wing.

Interesting the clock is running on this guy and we are doing load management with him.

Hope we can convert his 10-day into a standard contract to end the season even if the surgery rehab keeps him off the floor during the next few games.

Can't have too many savvy, low-profile vets in a non-playoff-proven team's locker room tbh. Let's get Plumdog some hardware :st-lobt2:

I wouldn't get if this doesn't happen.
It's obviously the whole plan and I like it.

Really looking forward to some Korndog/Plumdog minutes.

So are they using the 10 day stretch to get a look behind the scenes and see if he has anything left before extending a contract through the rest of the season? Maybe they're getting a charity tax deduction by rehabbing an injured player for 10 days?

Plumlee won't play the 2 games in Austin, but after that, Spurs will sill have three games to evaluate him.

If it isn't enough, they can sign him to a second 10 days contract and have 5 more games to evaluate him.

I'm pretty sure they only signed him to a 10-day to see if there will be a better option available until March 1st. Otherwise they'll sign him up for the rest of the season.

Korndog, Plumdog
Castle and Keldon have that dawg in them
Need one more for the full canine lineup
Wemby has that dawg in him too but there are already two centers

He's probably mostly washed up given that he's what 36 and out of the league, but he's either a step up from our other two backup backup centers or we're just rapidly collecting more of the same. Fingers crossed.
He wasn’t out of the league, he was sitting on Charlotte’s bench.
