He's the younger brother of Pelicans' PG Jeremiah Fears, who was selected 7th Overall in last year's draft. He's not the same prospect big bro was, but he's still a solid player. He's a little undersized at 6'2 but he's a good and gritty defender and has a nice mid-range game. Not a great 3PT shooter though, at least not yet, but he'll hit one occasionally. He also has a bit of a reputation of being a dirty player because he's such a pesky/annoying defender and guys don't like it, but I think it's mostly just him being a big time competitor tbh. Kid plays with a lot of heart. Will likely carve out a role as a solid backup PG at the next level. What's the story on this Fears kid for MSU? We obviously don't need a PG, but I like his game. Wouldn't want to see a PG desperate rival of ours (HOU or MIN for example) pick him up.
I was gonna ask if he was a younger brother, but I thought "no way people named their two kids Jeramiah and Jeremy" but I guess they didHe's the younger brother of Pelicans' PG Jeremiah Fears, who was selected 7th Overall in last year's draft.
