Bro looks like a grown up baby
Considering I would take Ngongba if the Hawks pick ended up in the early teens it'd be a massive win tbh.LendeBron is likely out of our range, at this point. Haugh and Lopez perhaps are too, although one of them could fall (more likely Haugh than Lopez). I think Peat is still very much in play, as is Cenac. And if worst comes to worst, and Atlanta’s pick ends up in the 20s, we could still end up with Ngongba.
What a ridiculously deep draft.
We had Primo, they had Giddey. No one is perfect. You don’t have to worry about OKC taking Yaxel, tbh. They follow the same foot steps as the Spurs when it comes to culture. It’s all in the patterns and behaviors - I know few people believe in this.
The team also had players like Sochan, Malaki, Blake who they thought had more talent than they did and hoped they would be long-term contributors. You can fail at gauging anything, but you can be better at it afterwards. We had Primo, they had Giddey. No one is perfect.
Wasn’t arguing your point, just illustrating that there are types who can slip past your interview process, both teams. The team also had players like Sochan, Malaki, Blake who they thought had more talent than they did and hoped they would be long-term contributors. You can only assess what’s visible through interviews, background work, and how a player carries themselves. You’re not reading someone at a deeper level beyond that.
The point is that teams still operate with standards. If something shows up during that process that doesn’t align, they’re not going to ignore it. It’s not about perfection, it’s about reducing risk and protecting the environment they’re building.
Bodies and shoves guy in back causing him to lose balance and touch the floor.Lexenborg
His personality is like the anti Yaxel. The player who might have helped himself the most in the first 3 games might be Tarris Reed.
20.3 ppg (59%FG, 75% FT), 15 rpg, 3 apg, 2 bpg.
Most mocks have him in the 40s, but he might climb up.
What wasn't yet factored in enough is his personality.
Point is, he will win the interviews, teams that don't know him yet he will blow away.
He is such a loveable, smart, eloquent, confident person and also seems to be the best teammate you can think of.
A leader and a mentor to the younger players, they obviously love to play with him.
A good student, former all academic team, a musician playing the sax and so on.
Yes, he is a bit old school, his ceiling will always be back up role player, but you need those guys as well.
A hard working, tough and smart player, who knows his role and limitations, plays defense and gets rebounds.
And a great locker room presence. I'm sold.
Yup Oscar Cluff. Should be noted that he's almost 25 years old though lol. 24 1/2 to be exact, and looks like he's 35 with 3 kids and mortgage. Dude's playing college hoops with a lumberjack beard and a receding hairline.Big boi #45 is purdue’s mvp
Krivas. Immediately gives us the best Center rotation in the league imo and makes Korndog expendable in a year or two if necessary. Peat might have more long-term upside but his inability to shoot the 3 whatsoever is just so unappealing. It'd be Sochan all over again with how he'd kill spacing when he's on the floor.Peat or Krivas at #19, who would you take?
It's a tough call for me. I have them in the same tier. If we go into the season without any major changes I'd go Krivas too, but it's close.Krivas. Fair. FWIW, I think MATFO would prob lean Peat if it came down to it.It's a tough call for me. I have them in the same tier. If we go into the season without any major changes I'd go Krivas too, but it's close.
