Misc In Memoriam - Former 2024-2025 Spurs Player Tracker

Do we know who didn't want who? Maybe it was Bassey that wanted a better opportunity. Or maybe the Spurs just didn't have faith in his ability to stay healthy and available.

bassey one game sample over jiz? never change spurstalk.

Here's how Bassey's one game compares to Bismack's 5. Note, these are not per game averages, they are TOTALS. Bismack at least has him doubled up on blocks in 3 times as many minutes I guess.

King Charles Bassey with 8 rebounds in 10 minutes (4 offensive) in his debut for MEM again DET.

Someone explain to me how Bismack was a better choice than keeping Charlie?

I figured it was because Bassey couldn't stay healthy. It seemed like he was unavailable to pay 1/3 of the time he was here, but maybe my memory is wrong.

I just remembered that no one have Tre Jones his flowers for putting up a 20/7/7/2 line and almost leading the Bulls to a victory over us. He's doing well.
Great post. I was going to bring up after that Chicago game how well he's played. Good on him. I really liked the guy. Chicago actually have a promising young team going there.

Is Malaki Branham still on an NBA roster? Lost track of that dude

On Wizard. But mostly DNP and playing junk min.

Probably out of NBA after this year when his rookie contract ends

Rough going when you can't get minutes for the Wizards

Sidy Cissoko started last night for the Blazers and was key to their win against the Warriors. I miss Sidy.

The Blazers also really fell in love with Blake which is great to hear. Think he got hurt tho.

It’s a shame, he had raw talent. Think it was mostly mental for him.
He likely got his money and is ready to go. He's very talented and probably never had to work hard to be good at any level.

He really fallen off a cliff in this season. Think Mitch used up all his tank fuel when he made him starter for the full 82 games
That was on CP probably asking for guarantees that he'll be a starter all season long.
We were really bad when he and Fox played together.

He was washed last season, but in ideal role since we didn't have a point guard and we didn't need him to score.
This season is just a retirement tour.

Great player-coach for a young team. One season was just right; could see where he could get overbearing in long stretches.

Wow. I'm happy he's doing well. I should have at least checked the box scores as I've seen Toronto have been winning, but kind of forgot he was there.

Since we're talking about Mamu... Raptors move to #2 in the east. They were Vecenie's "sneaky" pick to be a Top 6 team in the east this year. They're a team we beat (and rather handedly) while TOR was full strength. We weren't getting a whole lot of credit for that win at the time, but in hindsight it is definitely a quality W.

Bassey is available as of now, but apparently, we don’t need a rim-protecting rebounder, even on a 10-day contract. It’s not like we have anyone who can lob him the ball anyway. Spurs vets and "citizens" are still making poorly set up entry bounce passes to the post, for goodness’ sake—the same post entry pass Pete “Big Man Camp” Newell once called the easiest in the world to execute.
