That's interesting because I think the Spurs are firmly in or right on the edge of "overpay for player that could put you over the hump" that every championship level team has to eventually make to seriously compete for a championship. I also think McDaniels would easily be that player and really fits to how we want to play. Or should want to play you never know with Mitch

OKC did it for IHart...
Celtics did it for White and Jrue...
Knicks did it for Bridges...made the CF...
Depending on how you feel about the player and contract Houston is doing it right now for KD...
Really the only maybe championship level teams that haven't done it are Detroit and San Antonio...but history has shown you don't win a chip without the "paid to much for this player but in this very specific circumstance he makes you a real championship contender" player. Spurs aren't winning anything of note without a real power forward. We don't have one right now and who knows how long it takes Carter Bryant to be one...if it ever happens.
