Why did they fire Griffin. Wasn't there issues in the locker room? Was Griffin an assistant on coach Bud's staff before getting the HC job?
He and Giannis didn't get along tbh.

Raptors not being willing to part with Ingram for Giannis is wild. I hope that’s not true
I don't think Giannis should be interested in going to Toronto.
That roster is the worst 3pt shooting team in the league.
They'd need to make a couple more trades to make it work.

At least he already brought a championship there..But no one can blame him for seeking greener pastures to bolster his own legacy..Giannis has lowkey seen the meat of his prime getting wasted having only managed to win One playoffs series between age 27-31 (vs Bulls '22)-- the career juncture when virtually every ATG player rattles off the bulk of his Championships, deep POs runs, and personal accolades (Shaq, Timmy, Lebron, Curry etc,,). Giannis really has nothing show for the past four years..Only staying in The East might potentially recoup some of the lost time..
The injuries really started when they tried to defend their championship. Middleton got hurt in the Chicago series and didn’t play one single game of the Boston series which went the full 7 games. I think they beat Golden State in the NBA finals and go back to back.

He wants the Knicks and if they can get a third team involved, that is a good landing spot for him. But they have to really be willing to make a deal with the Knicks and the Knicks have to really want him.

Knicks don't have the assets.
They traded all of their picks for Bridges and they don't have a single young player with legit upside.

I know that’s why they need to get somebody else involved because I think that’s where he wants to go. This should be interesting.

What was the purpose of giving up a bunch of picks for bridges exactly? Whoever said he was an elite basketball player.

They thought he was the guy to get them over the hump.
He obviously wasn't.
But dumb franchises make all-in moves as soon as they get good.

Yeah, well first round picks I give up for superstars not role players. Beyond stupid.

Bigger question does the trade happen at a decent hour or 2-3 in the morning?

Doesn’t Giannis need to be traded by the deadline to secure the maximum extension amount? If so, doubt this go to summer

Hawks make the most sense. They can give the Bucks a refund on some picks and have matching salary while playing in a very weak eastern conference.

Jeff Teauge told a funny story about the Hawks and Giannis on his podcast. I guess when Giannis declared for the draft he went to Atlanta and worked out for the team. The Hawks were blown away by what they saw and promised to draft Giannis. They even put up Giannis in Atlanta for a few months to hide him from the rest of the league. Then the Hawks fired either a coach or someone in the front office at the end of the season. Coach/front office person got hired by the Bucks and tipped them about Giannis and convinced them to draft him.
