Spurs are draft and develop team.
It starts and end there.

I mean they literally just traded for Fox. So they're obviously not above making trades for the betterment of the team, but it would have to be a deal where we're bending the other team over imo (much like the Fox trade).Spurs are draft and develop team.

Are you sure teams that aren't good at developing talent would've turned SGA into an MVP level player?Thunder traded for their core though. I realize their record without Shai is still very good. But the core begins with him and he wasn’t the result of being conservative and measured
I mean they're 15-6 with Sengun their best player in a brutal west. I think he's working pretty well myself and if I'm Houston I'm not giving Milwaukee much else if they're getting Sengun. Sengun is so much better than anything the Bucks should realistically expect to get back.Hypothetically, I think it's the move the Rockets need to make.
Sengun is an all-star and a great player, but he's big who's a negative on defense, despite his best efforts. And that just doesn't work in the modern NBA.
I'd even say that Amen is not living up to the superstar hype. At this point he looks like Iguodala in his early years.
It works in the regular season, last season they couldn't even get past the Warriors with him.I mean they're 15-6 with Sengun their best player in a brutal west. This is top notch work and I want to make sure you get proper acknowledgement. It's not a döner deal until we get an official Zhang bang.
If it were true, there would be benefit in seeing OKC possibly losing to the Rockets. The downside, of course, would be Houston winning the WCF.
Warriors were blazing hot at the time and it was the Rockets first trip to the playoffs. I imagine there's a real chance the Spurs as playoff virgins get their asses kicked in the first round if they're facing a veteran team that has been there before too.It works in the regular season, last season they couldn't even get past the Warriors with him.
I know KD wasn't there, but it's not like Warriors were a legit contender.
Shai has DNA we’ve never seen before. He’s why I hear about Peterson and am like “yeah but if his shot doesn’t fall what then”. The thing about Shai is that he is one of the all time greats at reliably getting to his spot. I don’t think OKC taught him that. If you listen to him talk about his game, he’s a total psycho who realizes his gifts. Are you sure teams that aren't good at developing talent would've turned SGA into an MVP level player?
He got there after his solid, but nothing special rookie year.
Their rotation consists of 7 players they drafted, one reclamation project (Joe), one FA signing (Hartenstein) and a veteran they traded for (Caruso).
And they also have Sorber in line to replace Hartenstein when their cap situation becomes tricky.
Sabonis >> Sengün. He’s been to multiple ASGs, plus a couple of All NBA selections. He’s a better shooter and rebounder than Alpie.Sengun is a good player but he is very soft after what Draymond did to him in the playoffs. I put him on the King's Sabonis tier of greatness.
There isn't a single GM in the league who would take Sabonis over Sengun right now. Not even the bad ones.Sabonis >> Sengün. He’s been to multiple ASGs, plus a couple of All NBA selections. He’s a better shooter and rebounder than Alpie.
His money is atrocious, but I don’t see anything basketball wise that merits such an absolute statement. I mean, HOU had to bring in Steven Adam’s, because Sengün was such a mid rebounder. There isn't a single GM in the league who would take Sabonis over Sengun right now. Not even the bad ones.
Please clarify this take. When you say "Sabonis >> Sengun", are you referring to their body of work in their respective careers thus far? Or their current ability? Or their impact on their respective teams this season? I especially like the usage of ">>", as I would even consider "Sabonis = Sengun" to be a pretty hot take.Sabonis >> Sengün. Yeah, so trade him so Giannis can show DRAYMUNDO what’s what and where it is for the next two years while Mean Ol’ Man Green might be in the playoffs. Who cares if Sengun is the offensive engine of the Rockets for the next decade or so. We ALL gotta be reactionary in our thinking.... WERE AMERICAN....LONG TERM THINKING is for the RAVENS and the CHINESE .....Plus TRADE MACHINE is addictive. Draft PICKS, CAP FLEXIBILITY... Whats THAT?Sengun is a good player but he is very soft after what Draymond did to him in the playoffs. I put him on the King's Sabonis tier of greatness.
