The same Dusty that took over / runs ST?
And still posts Timvp / Kori game articles?
Is that his real name, Fabbs? Dusty? I mean, Dusty was the fool of a group of idiots, the Three Amigos.

I'd say Bridges is the one player who makes the most sense and is on a reasonable contract. We won't get him though cause they paid like 4 or 5 firsts to get him.
I want Hart because watching him and Keldon bully opposing benches out of every rebound would be hillarious. :st-lol:

Got to remember the Bucks have said there will be no sweepstakes for Giannis. They plan to let him pick his destination and try to make a trade work with that team. This would lower the price considerably. Still wouldn't want to give up Harper or Castle for him though.

The injury complicates things for Giannis. This now gets kicked over to the summer.

I mean the options are slim so a lot of 3-and-D wings could seem to be easier to get, but ideally you'd want a PF with PF size and not a 6-5 or 6-6 SF/SG type player at the 4

I will say that Dusty is a fucking hack...but, he did call the Fox trade last year and if I remember correctly he is the one who alluded to Fox's injury in the summer first and it being worse than a nothingburger which apparently was true. So who knows

I was opposed to the spurs trading for durant…especially if it meant giving up barnes…so i am of course not interested in letting young players like harper or castle go ….

I would think the spurs see this core as worthy of a little patience and further development to become something special..and giannis price tag is most certainly a high ask…

Pass.

i just hope Giannis stays in the eastern conference ...

I think the Hawks will be the best trading partner for the Bucks. The Bucks get back their swap rights for 2026 (and by that, get the juicy NOP pick) and 2027 plus the Hawks' 2029 FRP. While the Hawks give up on Trae Young, Risacher and get Giannis and his brother. The Hawks with Johnson, Giannis and Porzingis with NAW and Dyson Daniels will have a formidable starting lineup even if it might lack a good PG. Good enough to contend in the East. But will the Hawks be willing to let go of Young? I think they should. They seem to be better without Young.

The Bucks will get one high lottery FRP, plus two FRPs plus have the opportunity to flip Young for more picks like the Nets did and go through a much needed rebuild.

If I'm Milwaukee I'm demanding Johnson, not Young. We already know a Trae Young led team ain't doing shit

He didn't call the Fox trade. Don Harris did. But he is friends with Dusty and had Dusty on when they talked about it.

yeah that's true, and Harris knew because of his ties to Gentry in their FO. But he knew about the Fox injury so he must have some kind of source. Still, taking anything he reports with a massive grain of salt

Supposedly though the Bucks will honor Giannis's request to go to his preferred team so depending on how the bucks feel about doing right by him it may impact his asking price

By a mile (freaking NOLA).

Houston also has some very nice pieces that can entice them, but their big liability is the PG position. Fred would likely have to be included in the deal to make it work, and is Giannis sure Reed is ready to take over?

Our sell point is that we can offer a PG, the most important piece for any roster, that can anchor a rebuilding franchise for the next 5-7 years. The cap relief is nice too, but tertiary (after the picks).

Lol Dusty doesn't know shit. He's a fake reporter with zero reputable sources. Regardless, I really don't see the Spurs selling the farm for 31 year-old Giannis. He's right at that age were physically dominant guys start to decline. Plus he wants to be a Knick. That is his likely destination if the Bucks are to "do right by him." Realistically tho, they should do what's best for their franchise and sell him to the highest bidder. Just hope he stays in the Eastern Conference tbh.

And thats precisely why Atlanta will want to trade him over a building block like Johnson. Milwaukee, meanwhile, has no leverage to get Johnson. It will be happy to get back its favorable swaps and a decent FRP plus have the ability to trade Young for picks.

Yeah. Houston is enticing, but the Bucks will want Sengun or Amen. Houston might give up Sengun as Giannis is an upgrade over him and that way retain its bully-ball style of play and could like challenge OKC too. But Sengun is 8 years younger and gels well with KD, giving the Rockets a longer run for contention than Giannis. Houston doesn't have any juicy picks except for the Phoenix one, but the Suns are also not that bad. I think the Bucks will prefer the Hawks package to the Rockets one.

Does anybody really think Giannis wants Atlanta? Like really?

Depends is Giannis is comparing Atlanta to Milwaukee or NYC.

If NYC is the place the Bucks try to send Giannis to the Knicks, I'd love to see how that deal shakes out. Seems near impossible to game out without involving one or more mystery teams.

Who's a PF (not Giannis) that we could snag by the Spurs being the third team in a trade from any of the teams mentioned in this thread?

ESPN has this trade package....I don't hate it but also it will sting to let Castle and Barnes go. But if we are getting someone like Giannis can't really argue with a trade like this.

For me Dylan Harper would be a non conversation starter as that kid has a high potential to be an All Star/All NBA players for years to come. He is a true PG and his finishing around the rim is world class.
