Car Talk

Heritage Blue is one of my favorite colors amongst all car brands... I'm a fan of those baby blues in general... BMW's Yas Marina Blue on an M2/3/4 and the new RiveriaBlue on a 911 are my favorites to see out on the road, and the Heritage Blue from Toyota over the years - glad you are loving it!

My wife chose Everest for her 4Runner, and I must say it looks really good in person and we've gotten a lot of compliments on it - definitely more unique especially here in Hawaii where Tacomas and 4Runners rule the road. It looks really sharp on a Trailhunter with those bronze accents, but we went for a TRD Offroad
Took a ride down Seneca Lake last weekend to Watkins Glen. While waiting for lunch, saw an Everest 4Runner drive by for the first time. II's a very striking color, especially in the afternoon sunlight. Will be a good match with the GX!

They ended up getting an Atomic Silver OT+ in and jumped me to the head of the line. Wasn't my initial choice, but I went ahead and went with it... nice Spurs Silver & Black colors. Picking it up tomorrow.

Enjoy! Wishing you wonderful weather to enjoy your adventures. It is a great Spurs Silver and Black that can also be described as Alien (or Area 51) Atomic Silver and Black.👽

People in one forum thread I was scrolling were talking about how GX color choice availability was very limited. Glad you were able to get one you like.

Thoughts from the baselinebums panel?

When one private party is selling to another private party.
Best way to guarantee funds delivery?
I don't wanna hear "should be" "probably will be"

FWIW dealer tells me "best bet is to go to the buyers’ bank with them and have them post an external transfer of funds to your bank. It is not scam-proof 100%."

If you're the seller, if you're going to the bank with them, you could also ask them for a cashier's check.

Yeah but why would a bank from your 2002 article stop payment on a check?

If you're there at the bank and it's even just a decent bank, the cashier's check will work just fine.

The only problem you'd have with a cashier's check is a counterfeit but if you're at the buyers bank, that eliminates that issue.

I don't know what else you're looking for that you haven't asked Siri to help you find

Is that seriously a 2002 article? I just searched and it was one of the clearest to the point snippets.

Second the idea of going to the bank with them to get a cashiers check for certified funds.

Or… legit just straight up cash depending on how much you’re selling it for. I sold a car for $8k before I took cash

either way, you will ideally want the buyer and seller at a bank together

i took cash when i sold my civic in a private sale a couple of years ago. that was for about 6-7k iirc. they came with me to my bank where i deposted the cash to make sure there wasnt funny business

otherwise you go to the buyer's bank with them as they draw a cashier's check
