Player BREAKING: Wemby Expected to Miss Multiple Weeks with Left Calf Strain; **UPDATE** Wemby Expected to Return Tomorrow for NBA Cup Semifinals vs. OKC

Do other countries outside the US have Thanksgiving? I wouldn't think anyone that grew up outside the US would care about it too much.

Canada does, but it occurs about a month and a half earlier.
Canada also celebrates Veterans Day, although they call it Remembrance Day.

Pretty sure they don't celebrate George Washington's Birthday tho...

Most Spur fans didn't complain when Bowen was giving cheap shots and undercutting players. Kerr didn't have anything to do with the cheap shot by Podziemski. Just an inferior frustrated player unable to guard Wemby.
Quite the contrary. Bitch Kerr defended the Zaza take out. Had the Warriors video staff find some 1/100th the severity play of i think Aldridge putting his foot slightly under a Warrior in an ealier season game. Then stormed off the interview podium as if he had made some drop-the-mic point.

Kerr has tried to paint a rosey color on Draymonds injury causing bullshit at least 100 times.

I know back on ST there was some of us who spoke out against Bowens foot takeout b.s.
I had a definte problem with Bowen foot takeouts.

Would he and his family give 2 shits about Thanksgiving? Can't imagine they really care at all
Beats me. He lives here. I don't know why we would automatically assume he doesn't spend time with his family like most do on Thanksgiving in the states regardless of being from france

Who knows. If I moved to France and they had some sort of France Day holiday I wouldn't give 2 shits about it. Would just take the day off and sleep most likely

Honestly I hope (expect?) they keep all 3 guys home for this trip. Kind of an odd cadence to this road trip with 2 days off between PHX and PDX followed by Thanksgiving. Just minimize their travel and get the 3 guys @ 100% and shoot for Dec 2nd or 3rd.

Didn’t see Steph on the bench (but he might have been there?) but Dylan was there which makes me wonder if he’s close to coming back on this trip. We could certainly use him if he’s ready.

I can't think of a reason they'd take him if they didn't feel confident he'd be in one of these games. Not sure a cold Harper not back in game shape yet would be the difference between a 1-3 or 0-4 road trip, but it wouldn't hurt to try.

Gotta start working him back into game shape though, right? The sooner the better IMO. The 3-0 run while short handed was nice but definitely not sustainable

Portland is a must win and just find a way to win one of the other 3. Phoenix tonight would be a great win to hopefully set the stage for a 2-2 roadtrip without Wemby, Harper, and maybe even Castle.
Portland can look like the best team in the league on any given night.

I don't count that one as a W without Wemby

for all you conspiracy theorists out there: Wemby wanted to come back 2 days after the injury and basically never felt any pain in his calf.

Y'all lucky I'm too lazy to read back all those dumb takes about him being injury prone and not able to play.

He really said two days?! I know he said he wanted to come back quicker but didn’t see the interview

I don't think he was going to come back in two days. I think he feels he could have come back a bit earlier, but he listened to and trusted the medical staff.

It's because his calf was never injured, but they needed the AIDS vaccine to do its thing

We saw he probably never felt any pain in his calf. He never limped or came up lame like Harper did. He was doing dribbling drills the next day.

Which makes it really weird the dude missed 12 games over a month. Nov 14 to Dec 13. For an "injury" he never felt. Just odd.

I thought we were going to get destroyed while he was gone. But our guard centric offense turned into a fast paced machine and shot towards the top of the league. Finding a way to keep this offense as close to what it's been but adding Wemby as a complimentary piece on offense and the main focus on defense is the great challenge of 2026.
