Analysis Any Mitchsuckers going to do damage control for these gutless worms?

All good points, and I think you're onto something about maybe the Blazers not wanting to hire a woman so they floated this article out there, but if these were completely false about the Spurs not backing her, wouldn't they come out and have said that those reports are completely false?
Not necessarily. Coming out and refuting it seems to make sense on the surface but then they are setting the precedent that any "reporting" they don't refute in the future must invariably be true. Probably better to just speak with Becky personally and tell her it was bullshit which she can choose to believe or not. Also possible that whoever spoke ill of Becky was no longer even with the organization.

Yeah, OK, never thought of it that way. If they did it once, they'd have to say it all the time and that would be too time consuming. You're probably right. If it wasn't sure, they probably told her personally and left it up to her whether or not to believe their sincerity.

18 points in the 2nd quarter. Nicely done, worms. Let's follow that up with the patented 3rd quarter no show and they might get blown out by 30+.

Only scoring 18 points in a quarter is bad… giving up 41 in that same quarter is worse

The only gutless worms are the dill holes coming into this thread in the middle of a fucking game.

I get that we're all about protecting the paint at the cost of giving up some more 3s, but you have to fucking adjust when the opposition can't miss.
Instead we let them play 2v1 on high screens all game long, without even considering changing from drop coverage.
Yeah, Wemby's effort was shit, but him dropping was obviously by design.

Sucks but we deserved this L tbh. Didn't't show up ready to play. Team won 3 against OKC and thought they were hot shit. Mitch did them no favors by playing Sochan for 5 straight minutes either. That really killed us too and let Utah right back in the game after building a double-digit lead. Gotta learn from it and bounce back Monday against a good Cavs team.

Thanks for bumping this thread before I had to go search for it
:st-lol:

This was a #FireMitch special. Wemby and KJ help carry us back to tie the game, and wonder boy immediately yanks them knowing damn well what would ensue.

Then, he doesn't bring Wemby back until around the 4:20 mark when the game is again getting out of hand. These are the times where you play your guys nearly the whole quarter.

What are you "resting" Wemby for, Mitch? You rested him this game and before to be ready for situations like this, where we absolutely need him to play close to a full quarter to pull out a win.

Mitch had a classic bad Pop coaching game lol. Only thing that was missing was subbing out all 5 starters early in the 3rd.

But sitting the players that were responsible for the comeback (Wemby/Keldon) and then playing mad scientist lineups.

Anyway learning moment. Maybe he thought letting the scrubs play against the Jazz to see how they handle the challenge was the goal. Didn’t work out.

It’s a long season. You have to pick games to play the scrubs. This was one of the correct ones. We just couldn’t shoot.

B-b-b-but the doctors might yell at him.

To TRY to play scrubs.

Sochan and Waters only managed 5' and hopefully it showed the FO they need to make a move with the team showing its advance on the schedule.

Castle Harper are going to hit the wall soon and Barnes isn't reliable enough for the whole season + POs

Wonder why Olynyk didn't play he's shown can shoot the 3 can post up, he could've helped...

The poor three point defense appears to be by design, in favor of more defenders in the paint. That is crazy, considering this is 2025, not 2005, and the Spurs have Wemby on the roster. San Antonio is going to get exposed in the playoffs if the coaching staff is going to be this inflexible.

I'm just a Boxscore Betty for this Jazz game, but beezus the 3 pt differential between teams is HUGE.
Wasted another gem by Wemby.

Honestly didn't think Wemby was that great this game. Picked up a lot of points by exploiting the Jazz inside (which was good, and one of the first times we've seen the Spurs really exploit this, though they should have done it more) - but I thought he was pretty bad defensively (which sounds crazy considering he had 5 blocks)

Yeah it was one of the “bad” Wemby games where the stats just sort of found him, and he had a monster stretch in a sea of bambii legs and weird engagement.

First round against GSW or the suns could be the end
But it match well against Houston, OKC

Let's hope Mitch ans Sweeney will adjust to the opponent during the playoff

Apparently this was already the Mavs's defensive plan against OKC 2 years ago in the playoff. Anyone know if the Mavs were adjusting their defense in the other rounds?

I can't wait for the same spineless media questions.
And for the same generic answers...he won't even stick to in games because we're not doing most of the things he points out as issues.

I stopped watching his interviews recently when someone decided to ask him how road trips impact his life schedule rather than any meaningful questions about our game or recent results lol as if literally anyone cares.

That question took up like half the press it’s kinda nuts, almost feels like Spurs org instructs no hard questions or you lose access or something lol
