Not necessarily. Coming out and refuting it seems to make sense on the surface but then they are setting the precedent that any "reporting" they don't refute in the future must invariably be true. Probably better to just speak with Becky personally and tell her it was bullshit which she can choose to believe or not. Also possible that whoever spoke ill of Becky was no longer even with the organization.All good points, and I think you're onto something about maybe the Blazers not wanting to hire a woman so they floated this article out there, but if these were completely false about the Spurs not backing her, wouldn't they come out and have said that those reports are completely false?
