News 5-0

Feels damn good, and I have a feeling it's going to keep going for a bit, too. Lakers and Rockets are tough but still winnable, especially if Fox comes back, or at least Kornet.

Should revive the “Ditka couldn’t stop Manu” thread for moments like this imo

That Houston game is gonna be the next real test. Hats off to Miami too, they always play tough.

The mentality change has been one of the most impressive things to see at this early stage of the season. Night and day from previous seasons. They look confident out there and they're playing confident.

Besides the Dallas win, this has been a pretty shaky 5-0 streak. Weaker teams, scoring droughts, etc. But what makes me happy is that they didn't just roll over. They got their crap together and finished strong whereas our teams of the previous few years might have checked out.

Miami was 3-1, a quality win. They had scored 140 points, twice. We held them to 101, their season low. We’re also doing this minus two starters from last year. Be a little positive.

Even Mitch seems like a different coach from last season. Remarkable, really.
I think it’s pretty clear he was still under the reigns of Pop. If not directly, he was still implementing his process and wasn’t really making decisions.

He has already won me over. Love his energy. Sweeney has also made a big difference too.

Yes, same here. I didn't like the hiring based off of his performance last season. But he won me over pretty quickly.

True but I'm confident we'd look a lot less shaky with Fox running the crunch time O instead of Castle throwing lobs into the stands and with Kornet/Oly or even Sochan getting Biyombo's minutes.
Regardless of competition, 5-0 missing your PG/#2 scorer and missing all your PF/big depth is impressive.

This vid does a decent job of highlighting our strengths and weaknesses so far this year. Considering how good we are in transition and how mid we are in half-court sets, this team kinda reminds me of those 2010-2012 Thunder teams.

I'm hoping Fox coming back should help solve some of those half-court woes that he mentions in the vid. Especially when teams start blitzing/doubling Vic or busting out the zone against us.

Crazy how this happened under Mitch first year. I'm always very cautious when getting to excited about a team but I'm allowing myself this time to get amped because we haven't had winning ways in a while and i'm simply going to enjoy it.
