**2025 Baseline Bums NFL Season Thread**

Raiders with the 1st overall pick, a franchise-ish QB being available to draft, and a clean slate to hire a new coaching staff.

Will be curious how we fuck it up this time tbh.

Cant believe they finally did it. He'll be a HC by the end of the week tbh.

Think he takes a year off or goes to LA to be his brother's DC for a season (unless Tomlin gets fired). Just no desirable jobs atm.

I guess maybe Atlanta could be an interesting spot for him, they have a lot of pieces and play in the worst division in football.

Giants and Atlanta aren't bad jobs tbh.

Frankly, the Raiders with 1st overall and 100mil in cap space isn't terrible either. Plus the added bonus of grifiting Mark for a guaranteed 50mil even if you do a shitty job after a year or two :st-lol:

Take the Falcons HC job. Trade the farm for Lamar. = Profit

Any Given Sunday 2.0 tbh

I don't think there's any established coaches that would touch that job at this point tbh, unless the entirety of ownership were to board a plane and be flown into the side of a mountain.

Can't believe the Ravens actually did it. I thought the injury excuse was gonna buy him another year. Curious to see where they go from here.

I really liked Monken last year. He would've been my choice for the Bears if Ben had picked the Raiders over us. Wonder if they go in-house.

Sounds like Jackson was the leading reason they fired Harbaugh so they'll prolly let him have the final say, meaning it'll end up crashing and burning. Again, dark days ahead for the Ravens.

Ya think?

Monken said his biggest regret was not trusting the run game more in the 17-10 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game two years ago. The Ravens totaled 10 designed runs -- the second fewest in Harbaugh's 16 seasons as coach -- against a Chiefs defense that ranked No. 18 against the run.

"I will always remember the Chiefs game, and that will be one that I will have to live with forever because you only get so many opportunities," Monken said. "I don't let it haunt [me]. I just won't ever forget it."

Funny thing is , in hindsight you can't even say Jason Garrett was a bad coach. Maybe just 'average' / slightly above average with an 85-67 record. But no other coach for this circus franchise in the past 30 years has done any better. Atleast he had a couple of years (2014 & 2016) where they actually overachieved
