Woah. That fucks up the Chiefs early on next year as well. This likely means Mahomes wont be back until October, at the earliest. The schedule should be a bit easier but they will likely be starting on their back foot like they did this year.

Looking back, Mahomes and Chiefs really missed their chance at immortality last Superbowl. Couldn't squeeze one last piece of magic to pull-off a historic and likely never to be matched threepeat. The letdown was kinda predictable this season. Don't think we heard the last from him: still relatively young in football terms & 'modern medicine' is a real thing!
