Your all time favorite 10 Spurs players

Gervin (No Gervin No Spurs in the NBA, most valuable Spur's player because of that, also the most exciting offensive scorer)
Thought Silas was considered the Spurs best player at the time of the merger

I should give an honorable mention to Anthony Jones since he's the guy whose jumpshot I copied after shooting around with him for a while at a Baseline Bums bbq in 1987. I don't think he missed a shot in like ten minutes; NBA players are crazy talented.

Here's my list of Top 10 Favorite Forgotten Spurs:

should i start a thread about "all time WTF spurs roster" guys who should never have been here, did nothing. ?

In no particular order, not including guys with jerseys in the rafters:

Malik Rose
Antoine Carr
Antonio Daniels
Mario Elie
Larry Smith
Glenn Robinson
Ime Udoka
Theo Ratliff
Tiago Splitter
Manu Ginobili - Yeah, I gotta include him. I predicted him as a hall of famer the day after the draft. What a moronic prediction to be the only one I ever got right.

Bryn Forbes
Kyle Anderson
Jeff Ayres
Dante Cunningham
Keith Bogans
Richard Jefferson
Austin Daye
Kevin Martin
DeMarre Carroll
Luka Samanic

How did Cherokee Parks not even warrant an honorable mention?

How did Cherokee Parks not even warrant an honorable mention?
Never liked that bum! Honestly don't care for most Duke players... but Tre, Danny Ferry and of course Johnny Dawkins were alright with me.

Manu
Timmy
Bobo
Enrique
El Verde
The Alien
Sandwich Hunter(yes srsly, I won't punish Bonner for Pop misusing him for years)
Golden God(sucks we gotta beat his team on Wednesday)
Fabio
LMA(feel bad for the guy, would've been nice if we were able to get him a Chip.. fuck Nephew!)

1a. Timmy - the cornerstone. Without him there wouldn't be any championship banners.
1b. Manu - my all-time favorite player. Loved his game and modeled my game after it.
3. Admiral
4. Wemby - might be too soon, but love what I've seen so far.
5. TP - underrated and hated on for some reason.
6. Gervin - never got to see him play, but without him there really would be no Spurs in San Antonio.
7. Sean Elliott - for the Memorial day miracle alone.
8. Bruce Bowen - loved his sneakily dirty play, amd was glad he was on our team.
9. Danny Green - ultimate 3 and d guy. Hated that he got shipped out with Nephew. Had a serious case for Finals MVP in '13 if the Spurs pulled out the win.
10a. Patty Mills - 2014 finals lives rent free in my head.
10b. Boris Diaw - a big part of the beautiful game Spurs.

Tim
Manu
David
Tony
Wemby
Sean
Patty
Bruce
Kawhi (pre-uncle Dennis)
Steph Castle (holding his spot in line!)

1. David Robinson (Nothing to say what hasn't already been said before other then he put the Spurs on the map as a competitive team to be respected. I put him higher then Timmy on my list but that's because David was the players that made me fall in love with the game of basketball while I was growing up)

2. TIM Duncan (Same as David as far as having not much to say what hasn't been said before but he was the one that finally put the Spurs over that hump year after year)

3. Sean Elliott (before the trade and after. aka Ninja, he was a very solid player and hit 1 of the most biggest clutch shots of the ages for this franchise . As a kid I loved seeing him and hearing his catch phrase of Taco Cabana, and also loved visiting his pet shop that he had opened up for a little while.)

4. Mario Elli (dude was a freaking pit bull. HE may not have been one of the most talented players out there but he would play with fire and heart no matter who they were playing against. He was as tough as nails as they come, and honestly Castle reminds me allot of him.)

5. Manu (Maybe I should put im higher on my list because he was such fierce competitor and such a fun player to watch play)
6. WEMBY (Maybe in a couple more years he will be higher on my list but I feel blessed that he is on a team that I love being being a fan of)

7. Dale Elllis ( I was a huge fan of him before he even became a Spurs and I was so thrilled when I heard about him coming to the team)

8. Dominique Wilkins ( I was a super big fan of his while he was at Atlanta and he always played with such high energy and heart and lived up to the nick name the Human Highlight Reel. Although he was on the downturn of his career I couldn't believe it when I heard he was signing with the Spurs and he was still a fun player to watch even at the age during his short stent here.)

8. Bruce Bowen (defense, defense, defense. Watching him lockdown Steve Nash, Paja, among others was such a sight to see)

9.Kevin Willis (Was a big fan of his before becoming a Spur as well)

10. Avery Johnson (last but not least and there are a few players that are tied with him for the 10th spot on my list but I think what puts him over is the corner shot to seal the Spurs first finnals and I was going wild with celebration all night after that shot.)

Timmy
Manu
Gervin
Robinson
Tony
Wemby
Elliott
Bowen
James Silas
Larry Kenon

Kawhitter is not anywhere on my list. If, for instance, there have been 808 players to ever be Spurs. Kawhitter would not be on my list. I would end my list at 807.

tony parker - the mother fucking franchise
Jim dunan- he was here and stayed out the way for TP,
the adminairal - would've won 3 championships if allowed to join the dark forces of satan instead of lame avery johnson baptistitry.
La marcus - as good as we deserved . unlike wemby he knew his spots and took his shots
ginboli - evaded ICE for nearly two decades but deservedly deported for taking shots from true hardworking americans like jimmer and George hill
Fat head - beatiful man doing beatiful things
Derick white - fathead part two and no less the player. got his rings he deserved carrying bums like tatum
diaw - was friends with TP
tiago splitter - the best of the non-star bigs in spurs history.
- the son of jerry west himself - matt bonner . unlike jimmy bertans mat bonner had working knees but didn't need to use them. he was the prince of advanced stats before you bastards even ran an regression table to shit on kobe's inefficient chucker ass

and special considering for Shaun who hit some big shots, jarren jackson SR the roach,

JAMES WHITE!

In chronological order of me watching the Spurs:

Drob
Carr (glad to see some Big Dawg love in this thread - a very underrated player imo)
Tim
Manu
Rose
Horry (despite him having dumb opinions now)
Green
Diaw
Patty
Wemby (not just as a player but just an interesting person)

In no particular order

Tim Duncan
Manu Ginobili
David Robinson
George Gervin
Alvin Robertson
Tony Parker
Willy Anderson
Sean Elliott
Terry Cummings
Boris Diaw

My personal requirement was for people who have played at least five seasons with the Spurs to qualify. I could probably lower that to four but it would be all of the same players. At that point, you have truly been a Spur in my opinion.
