Uncle Frank... Ziggy

Damn, RIP.

It does seem that a lot of the Wire/Sopranos cast were actually not far off characters they were playing.

Esp considering Snoop used her real drug dealer name, and went back to slinging after the show ended. She got busted for it too. lol

James apparently has incredibly brutal, insane stories of abuse dating back to when he was a child. Feel for the guy. His character was annoying but he played it to utter perfection.

The Wire is IMO the greatest show of the 21st century if not of all time, but the more distance we get from it, the more it feels like a sad tale of some excellent method acting from some deeply disturbed characters played by equally disturbed people (with obvious notable exceptions).

Also was my first introduction to Idris Elba. Had no idea who he was. Was pretty fucking shocked to learn he's British after I finished watching that show. He's also fucking awesome in Cyberpunk 2077 (and anything else he's in). Wish he would have been the next Bond. Would have been ideal for the role.

Was shocked hearing Dominic West is British too. I love when the rest of the Major Crimes Unit gave him shit for his accent in the prostitution sting when he used his real speaking voice.

Idris Elba had the best "American" accent on the show. Didn't ever really slip at all.

I saw GoT before starting the Wire so I knew Carcetti was also using an accent.

McNulty was also good but I always think of this one scene where I realized he was using an accent on the show. When he's talking to Pearlman, you could hear it slip a couple of times.
