We debated about drafting Harper or Kon.

How about if Silver gave us the #1 pick. Flagg or Harper?

As much as I love Harper, if the Spurs landed Flagg they'd be the heavy favorites this season alone tbh.

It would have been very unfair for the Spurs to land Flagg after Wemby and Castle. The league needs some parity. The Mavs were damn lucky but it is good for competition to have Flagg in the same conference/ division with Wemby a la Nowitzki and Duncan.

By next year though, all folks will be talking about how it was very unfair that the Spurs drafted Harper after Wemby and Castle Our boy is already good. He is going to get way better.

With a season's worth of hindsight, I think the re-draft would look pretty close to the same regardless of who is drafting, just perhaps kon goes ahead of edgecombe: 1. cooper 2. harper 3. knueppel 4. edgecombe 5. maaaaybe wheoever picks 5th doesn't go with bailey. but he's finishing pretty strong statistically. (I doubt many of us having been catching many jazz games tho.)
