Awesome news regarding Mitch, well-deserved!

Sweeney and Williamson need their own accolades as our defense and rebounding have evolved so quickly with them on our staff. Williamson is probably at least part of the reason for Keldon's resurgence and rebounding brilliance.

Totally agree. That never-giving-up attitude despite being down, gritty game, and feeling that they can still win. It’s very fun to watch. Now if they can only cover the 3’s better.
 
It’s weird that a rando like the zionist gets 10 FTAs and then a potential face of the league in Wemby has such a shit whistle.
 
Role players struggling happens to every team, can't be helped.
But no other team in the league freezes out their best perimeter scorer as much as we do. And it simply has to stop.

We can't expect Fox to just spectate until clutch time and then take over at will. It's much easier to get him going early on and create an advantage for others.

Instead we're fully onboard with one-dimensional offense Castle creates. Good for his development, but not good for the team right now.

I'm too upset and tired to write an in-depth post right now, but he fucking needs to get his head out of his ass, he's been the main reason for our struggles because despite the garbage shooting, there are so many things completely wrong in our gameplan. Things that have nothing to do with game to game variance and randomness.

And it keeps getting worse.

It's not just about Wemby.

We played against a G-league squad and they ran most of their sets with ease, got the shots they wanted.
You can say Cam Spencer beat us, but just a few shots were random and contested. They executed their gameplan.

Meanwhile we have 3 supposedly elite ballhandlers and every possession looks like we're playing 2005 Pistons.

It was masked by most of the role players overperforming from 3pt, but now that everyone is shooting on their expected level, we're completely fucked. Freefall mode.
2-4 run with Champagnie career game saving us against the Knicks and having to play 4 quarters against the worst team in the league as 2 wins in this stretch.

It's not about just winning or losing, we've played so many bad teams this season and we have just a couple of blowout wins.
Good teams take care of business within 2 or 3 quarters against the worst teams in the league.
Meanwhile we just can't fucking do it.
And that's on coaching.

If everyone is playing bad, then the coaching staff is doing something wrong.

- Coaches dream of even 8-man rotations,
- This rotation was highly effective, defeating OKC, who have now lost 5 of their last 10 games, 3 to this team. ESPECIALLY WITH WEMBY

- Then Blames FAILURE on the team with Statements such as “We aren’t following the process”

Totally agree with @LeBowen above that this latest slump has large coaching element to it.

What is really emerging here is that Mitch is having trouble running an offense when has too many toys to play with.. Our offense was flowing better with Castle (and CP3) while Wemby and Fox were out for last month (6th OFF rating) of '24-'25 season and it was better when Fox was the primary engine when both Wemby and Castle were out for 3 weeks.
Shooting regression aside, he just hasn't figured out the right offensive balance and rotations. Throwing icy-cold Sochan & CB into the fire reeks of a panic move and not any problem-solving process, not to mention his two horrendous, run-stopping substitutions of Wemby tonight and against the Jazz

Yeah, this was a massive coming-out party for the sports writers and broadcasters to start pushing the "He's a Fraud" narrative about Mitch. There's no way most of them will vote for this guy as COY after this display of incompetence.
