We may not be as good as our record, but 8-2 is a fantastic start giving us some margin of error. Every win counts in the West; we saw how it came down to the wire in last regular season

To be fair, I had us winning in PHX then losing to HOU, so my prediction wasn’t perfect.

I don’t pick the games, just the win-loss count. I think the poll could be setup to pick each game, but over a ten game span, it would be hard for anyone to get them all right.

The main takeaway of these first 10 games is that Spurs are finally looking like a good team.

Even when they are facing some difficulties, like injuries, Wemby struggling or poor shooting, Spurs are still able to beat decent teams. It's the first time in the Wemby's era that it's happening. Spurs aren't contenders but they have a legit shot at being the third best team in the West behind OKC and Denver. They are on the right path.

This isn't even a criticism... we love this team and we are the hardest on ourselves. That's what makes this the best basketball discussion community about the Spurs around.

I just opened RealGM to read some opinions on AD situation and the first thing I see is a Spurs fan with almost 10k posts suggesting we trade Castle for AD.
I legit don't know what I'd do without this community.

How good has this team actually been?
Just look at our wins.
Mavs - awful.
Pelicans x2 - even worse.
Nets - the worst, almost lost.
Raptors - a supbar East play-in team, no Poeltl meant they had no NBA level bigs.
Heat - Herro and Powell were out.
Rockets - the only legit win and a great game throughout.
Bulls - barely won whith Giddey out.

We lost to the Suns without half the roster, Lakers without Lebron/Reaves and now lost to B2B Warriors.
Yeah, we were missing Fox and Harper, but our schedule has been maybe even the easiest in the league.

If we don't get 4 straight wins in this homestand, things will get ugly because we play 7 out of 10 on the road after that.
Including road games in Denver, Minnesota, OKC, Cleveland and Orlando.

There's a real possibility we get dangerously close to .500 at the end of that stretch.
