Player The Burgeoning 3&D American Sign Language Consulate of Carter Bryant

Like, I don't understand how people are still saying (even as recently as a day or two ago), oh, if he keeps playing well, he can be in the rotation next season. WTF. Wake up! Like I've been saying for weeks - he needs to be in the rotation the rest of the season and the playoffs. He raises the Spurs ceiling in the playoffs IMO.
He brings a physical element that not really anyone else at his spot brings. His defense, hustle, energy he brings alone is enough to have him on the court. And I am confident with him taking shots. Keep playing him to give him reps. Should have started playing him more minutes earlier in January to help prepare him more.

The kid has arrived. There is no denying that. He just earned more minutes with his plays tonight

I hope Mitch see that....otherwise, HB would still come off the bench first over CB once HB is back

Setting himself up nicely to be the Shane battier of his generation - understated counting stats, loud impact
One can only hope, but… that’s quite the compliment. Shane Battier and Chuck Hayes are both my favorite role players of all time. Shane’s IQ was elite, I don’t think CB is there yet.

If we're talking current players, I think he can be our McDaniels.
He also doesn't put up impressive numbers, but is often times the second most important player on the Timberwolves.

Ahh, even if he didn't play tonight, he should still be in the rotation. He already earned it in previous games IMO. Last night's game helps, though. If Mitch and the staff was on the fence, they'd better get off and seriously look at incorporating him in the rotation from here on going forward. It will raise the Spurs' ceiling in the playoffs IMO.

If you've listened to CB all season, he's shooting much higher than that. I'd be happy with that personally, but I think he's looking to go a lot further than those guys as players. Whether or not he'll get there is another thing, but he has very high hopes.

I will say, i have no doubt when playoffs roll around, his shot will look like preseason cb. Man, however, looking how he’s been a gnat on defense, even at his shooting worse, I think he still has a chance to positively move the needle and he needs a legit shot in the rotation.

So you have no confidence in his shot come playoff time? I think he'll be OK. He starting the season off rushing and trying to hard to impress in limited minutes. I think it's slowed down a bit for him and he'll continue to be better.

I pray this take ages horribly, but we’re talking about a rookie 19 yr old kid, who seemed star struck at the start of this season. Playoff temperature is a different animal, so i think its to be expected. HOWEVER, even if he goes 0-4, i think he still has the ability to change the tide in a game. he’s earned a playoff role given his defense and motor alone. Those non stat sheet stuff he’s bringing is invaluable.

Love seeing his growth and confidence on the rise!

Shane Battier was always the one who got away back in the Spurs prior glory years. He would've been perfect with Tim, Tony and Manu. I see CB as a different archetype. Battier didn't have those hops and athleticism.

CB can effectively guard 1-3 and sometimes 4. It seems like the game has slowed down a bit, with more of that to come. It also seems like the coaches have simplified his role on offense and that has worked well. Stand in the corner, move to the dunker's spot. Pass the ball unless you have a wide open 3 or a dunk. Simple and he's doing well within those boundaries, which is all we need from him at this time.

As I was saying, cutting him from the rotation was just nuts. Thank god that Barnes' ankle came in clutch. I hope Mitch has seen the light now and doesn't try that BS again, tbh.

I'm not even saying Carter should take all of Barnes minutes. Just play a 10 men rotation, we need to keep as many guys as possible engaged and in game shape. You don't know who you gonna need in the playoffs, no reason to be preemptively tightening the rotation. Play 10 men and shorten the rotation in the playoffs depending on who's playing well. Nothing good can come of making us a less deep team now and have less guys you can throw out there on a playoffs setting.
