Game Thread Spurs (37-16) @ Warriors (29-25) (Wed 02/11/26) [9:00 PM CST]

Don't want to be too hard on Castle considering the fall last night. He should've taken the night off, very surprised he didn't.
I’d feel more like this if he didn’t have a bunch of games like this already. Needs to slow tf down sometimes

Wemby bringing down the ball down the court, ramming into a defender 20 ft from the basket and jacking up a trash shot from the contact is getting old. It's either to get a foul called or a prayer shot. It's not very beautiful not ethical.

I love Castle and he showed a lot of heart tonight but there are legitimate concerns about his handles.

You need to have that in today NBA.

When the shot in not falling for the team, getting those FT’s will put brakes for opposing team run. Every star player does that in one form or other.

I can count on one hand how many times the refs have called a foul. On the other hand, I lost count how many times those shots are just bricked. It's not very efficient.

Wemby is super excited hahahahaha

hope we can get All Star MVP

Dude, adjust your expectations a little. 26, 9, 4 and 2 blks on almost 50% shooting does not warrant the veins slitting scene you're putting us through, tbh.
All while being cheapshotted by mouthbreather Donkey.
At least this ref crew called some fouls on Cheapmond when guarding Wemby.

Exactly. We all remember Timmy, even in some big playoff games that we won not being all that good offensively. But there were moments here and there where he would step up whether it was a big rebound, a big block, a big move on the block whatever.

Just win the game

And victor all told was still fairly good on offense tonight.

Was really frustrated with him doing this tonight but I also think this is how Mitch is coaching the team in general. When they struggle the most is when they decide to show 15 3s in a quarter despite struggles. And I kind of get it, because the theory says that if you have an open 3 and that shot is a valuable shot then you should keep shooting those anytime you get them. But momentum is a real factor in games, so you can't just use that excuse to keeping shooting 3s. I think most quant guys in the NBA view shots as independent events, but I am pretty sure they are not. If you flip a coin the chance to end up heads or tails is always 50%. But for a .35% shooter, you don't always have a .35% percent of the shot going in because the mental aspect is so skewed by game situation including momentum.

They need to be better about what Keldon did tonight. Yes, you shoot those open 3s, but if they are not fall or they stop falling then you find a way to score easy buckets. to flip the momentum. Keldon did that tonight, but Wemby was too busy shooting early shot clock 3s despitg being off for a large portion of the night. That being said, Wemby still managed a pretty damn good stat line while playing kind of shitty.
