He still posts articles his heart just doesn’t seem to be in it. I wonder if there was some sort of agreement in the sale to keep up appearances and contribute for say X amount of time so loyalists didn’t leave.
They're AI-generated articles tbh. Most likely just the new owners posting them using timvp's name.

Yeah we didn’t started calling him timGPT for nothing lol

was always funny when someone would post RIP timvp and inevitably someone would pop up asking when he died
I still remember ChumpDumper coming to be the White Knight and straight the record straight that he didn’t die.

What Is left to sniff when the poo filled diaper has forgotten about you?

What would be the purpose of acquiring such a forum as ST? Ad revenue? I just don't see its value outside of those who were/are members there for discourse. What is its value if any? Not saying ST had no value but its value was predicated on its forum members only.

I’m assuming it was sold back when traffic was higher years ago, around the time the ads showed up. Seems like for the longest I don’t ever recall any ads? Timvp and Kori always said they would never do ads.

I want to get back to my old Spurs Giveaways so look out this season for a thread to be created sooner or later. I don't care who wins those giveaways either, regardless if yall hate me or not. I enjoy it either way.

I miss when timvp would get mad when people would ask him if that was him at timvp.com, so I'd always give a link to that site when people asked if he dieded.

I’m not going to get into shit with you here. Go ruin the other place. Keep it there.
Just as an FYI, the ignore function here is excellent. Standalone posts are like they aren't even there and whenever someone quotes them it blocks the quote. Going to be a great tool to utilize as annoying old and new posters show up. Drop them there and it's like they don't exist

Usually he'd be putting out tons of articles about draft prospects, big boards, rumors, etc. This offseason? like what, 2 articles or so? the man doesn't give a shit about it all anymore. it's a shame lefty registered as Kori Ellis and got people's hopes up.

What are you drinking in that AV? I miss good beer... Oh well, I'm better off with my gluten intolerance and no beer I suppose.

Is there a way to paste an image directly into your post without having to use the insert image function?

GoN disabled direct image embedding early on for some reason, I asked him to enable it again.
When it gets enabled you can just c/p the link and it auto-embeds.

I think two more forums will be enough named like this or something close:

Other Sports (NFL, CFB, MLB, etc.)

Anything Else Except Politics

I think that will cover most of the active discussion from ST and get rid of the one thing we all wanted to get rid of.

How about, nah, just Spurs related forum(s) only? I'm sure there's plenty of other sports forum you could sign up to not associated with a strictly NBA team called the Spurs. Nothing against your suggestion but less is always more!

Definitely no politics sub forum!

Is there an option so it always goes to the last post/newest post in the thread?

When there is a new post, it goes to it but if you go back to the main forum and click back in thread again, it goes to Page 1.

Required a bit of under the hood overriding of configuration (which I'm really trying to avoid as it makes it challenging for backwards compatibility) but I've done it. Not committing to keeping it forever though unless I find a better way to set it up.
Give it a whirl

Yeah an off-topic forum would be nice so we're not having to post about PlayStation games or the NFL or the World Series in the Spurs forum for example. But no need to try to recreate Spurstalk and all the various forums it had; less is probably more here.

I agree that we don't want to clutter up the forum but do think it would be nice to be able to talk about games, movies, shows, books, etc without clogging up the Spurs discussion. General NBA + All other sports would also be a good sub forum to have since a lot of people here like the NFL or MLB

Announcments forum won't be as active when things settle down.
I'd say pin Site Configuration and Refugees topic, rename the forum to everything else and move all the off-topic there.

Add a game threads subforum to spurstalk forum, imo.
