Complain about the heat, discuss hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, fires, winter weather, & more. Not meant to be a global warming debate threat, but if it comes up it comes up, I guess. @Kick-Stand

81 degrees here on the Far West Side on Christmas today, similar to 2021 and 2015 as warmest Xmases I remember.

Not to talk Spurs in the Not Who We Are section...

But how's the cedar so far in SA? Asking for tall Frenchman-related reasons.

It was bothering me for a couple of days, but it always does that the first time it comes in any real force. Pretty mild for Christmas time to be honest. Always go to my uncle's on the NW side where you can see those pos trees everywhere for Christmas Eve and sometimes it really fucks me up but mountain cedar count was like 1250 and didn't bother me too much. I think with the complete lack of rain in the fall we may get off with a decently light season. Last year was the weakest cedar season I can remember in at least a decade and we had similarly poor fall rainfall amounts. It's crazy we have gotten back into drought though because our June and July were wildly rainy. As in rainiest June and July since I have been back in the area after moving from LA in 08.

When it gets past say 15000 count that's when I start feeling like I'm gargling with razor blades and have COVID.

@Kick-Stand No joke it's literally been over 100 degrees all afternoon (actual temperature, not heat index) in Far West San Antonio today. I don't know if it was a heat bomb or what but I woke up at noon today to see 101 degrees, it's currently 102 but got as high as 104 a little while ago. Humidity has been around 6%.

Absolutely insane for February, though we did see 100 in late February 2000 and in 1996 Austin saw 100 in late February.

I think maybe has to do with solar max or something? But it absolutely shattered the records.

We officially hit 100 at the airport on February 21 1996. I remember wearing my Starter jacket to walk to school in the morning and then sweating my ass off on the walk home lol. Could definitely see it getting 100 in certain parts of town today from urban heat island effect. I know when the official temp is 101 at the airport my neighborhood will often be like 106.
