Trade Official 2025-2026 Trade Deadline Thread

You know, it's possible to say that the front office has been good as of late - and - that if they fail to trade KO/Sochan/etc..., that they're not properly uttilizing assets in a way that will aid them down the line. It's not an all or nothing deal.
How so?

They were lucky with the lottery to get high draft picks and Wemby Castle and Harper were all no brainer picks that almost everyone would make.

The Fox trade fell in their lapes when Fox said he wanted to come to San Antonio.
If Fox never declared his intentions for San Antonio then that wouldn't have happened either.

Wow. Who is he traded for? Great get for the Pacers. Can't believe the Spurs haven't made a single move :(.

Oh, and fuck the Clippers. Why did they blow it all up?

Shams is a complete moron, tbh.
You don't post the news until you know what's the actual trade.

If the sticking point on moving Sochan has been that we don't want to have to attach draft capital... then I sure hope Brian Wright has a plan to actually utilize that draft capital. Being unwilling to use SRPs because you plan on selling them later is the least satisfying option for anyone other than the Spurs' accountants.
I do think that the idea of not going into the offseason over the cap and the trend of selling 2nds does have to do with money. I get that from a GM and competiton standpoint we don't factor in cash flow, but I wouldn't be mad if the reason we are not carrying salaries into next season and selling 2nds are for cash consideration purposes or business reasons, especially if it makes us a big tax paying team when the time is right.

Geez. The Clippers are in full rebuild. Zubac to the Pacers.

Edit: Pacers sending two first rounders.
