Draft March Madness Draft Watch: Spurs Prospect Tracker

No matter what happens the rest of the way, Braylon Mullins will go down as a UCONN legend for that shot tbh. All-time great MM buzzer-beater.
Bro is gonna have all the UConn girls lining up at his doom room door tonight tbh.

How tf did Mullins defender not get up in his face
Mullins has Curry-like range and release, I totally buy him as an elite shooter even if he struggled previously. The question, however, is how does the rest of his game match up, I'm especially concerned about defense as he seems slight with an average wingspan and those guys have an uphill battle in the NBA. But him and Cam Carr is an interesting discussion, I have Carr ahead of him because of his ability to finish at the rim with his superior athleticism but man Mullins range and release are deadly and gives me pause.

Retard convention by Cayden Boozer (the other Boozer) with the turnover thus game ender 99.999% on him.
Then Isaiah Evans is the defender tried to hustle back but kind of overran back towards the arc. But ya the Conn guy just caught it and immediately fired, not like Evans was grossly out of position. I also thought Boozer should have stayed there and guarded the ball given the short time left on the clock. He ends up guarding no one.

Boozer literally had to just get the ball to the Duke half of the court. Conn did not have even one man on the entire Duke side of the court. He could have jump passed, or did a spin move and bounce passed. Hell he could have thrown the ball almost straight up in the air as long as it went towards the Duke side.

Currylike range by Mullins or not, it is a massive failure by Duke to give up a 3 pointer when up 2 with 3 seconds to play.
Evans runs back wayy too far on D. Unaware of where ball was.

Mullins' adv defensive stats are actually pretty good, if that means something. Overall better than, say, Liam McNeeley from UConn last year.

Cold ass photo for the kid.

from all F4 teams Tarris Redds is the player with the best numbers in the tournament. (21.8P/13.5R/3.0A/2.3B). he is also the player, who lifted his production the most, compared to the regular season.

I would be very happy, if they can get him at 35. Celtics and Queta prove, a player like him still can have his role in the NBA. but if he continues to play like this, maybe even takes UConn to the title, he likely will sneak into first round.

Reed looked damn good i must say. Held his own against boozer and just outworked everyone.

That said boozer does have pretty good agility and footwork overall. I can see him as a ground bound scorer and would be like a Sabonis or an unathletic but smart paolo. He has a pretty high floor but I don’t see him being all nba material, I doubt even all star.

Yeah, I'd compare him to a guy like Carlos Boozer back in the days.

I like a lot the idea of Reed at #35, especially if Kornet has some difficulties in playoffs.

Reed is a high floor, low ceiling player. It limits risks of him being too good or too bad to be the 15mpg backup center Spurs will need behind Wembanyama.

Reed is now finally getting all the attention and also his share of credits for UConn's success this season. they are now all talking about him.
I wonder what this will do about his draft stock. if he can deliver one more big game, he will go first round.
as I wrote before, I'm just blown away by his loveable personality, but having watched more film about him, I'm now really impressed how good a passer he is.
this not just a big body and tough guy, he is really a smart player and great facilitator on offense.
and great footwork as well. is it just me, when I see some Elton Brand in his game?

If Yaxel wasn't such a knucklehead... but he's probably a mid lottery pick anyway.
I think if Yaxel were 19 and doing all of the things, his BS would be written off as him being really young, and he’d be in the convo for #1 overall.

Im really not moved by Boozer. He doesnt beat his guy off the dribble, cant shoot over them, looks slow laterally etc etc.
Cam boozer is going to be Sengün with a 3 pointer. He's a 39% 3 point shooter on 3.6 attempts per game, so yes he damn well can shoot over them.

He’s not a fucking guard. He doesn’t need to be able to beat people off the dribble.

Guys with NBA parentage pop at an extremely high rate. Doesn’t matter if they pop athletically or not,, and Jalen Brunson is proof of that. He’s like the Tim Duncan of guards, doesn’t stack up athletically with his peers, but just gets the damn job done.

- Tim Duncan was a physical beast in college and his first few years in the league esp before the knee issues came.

- Shooting the 3 =/= shooting over people. I meant his height and his pop on his jumpshots and shots near the rim. It’s like the height where he releases the ball at seems “blockable”.

- Ofc he’s not a guard, but he’s a 4 in college and has a problem beating college guys off the dribble. How much more NBA guys? The big 3s and small 4s are not going to be bullied by his style of play.

Anyway, im not a Cam Boozer hater nor do I feel any strongly about this draft class due to where we are picking, i just dont see him being a clearcut #1/#2 as some of you think he is.

that's what I have been telling people; to think of Boozer as Sengun but better on the defensive side of the ball.

From what I've read, the 2027 draft is said to be weak and not deep. I can see a lot of underclassmen going back to college for NIL money and with the hope to be drafted earlier next year. In the 2025 draft, the whole second round was full off seniors and international players. This year it might be even more.

Reed should rise in mock drafts just because of that. After Lendeborg and Stirtz, he might be the next senior drafted. He should be in the same tier as Joshua Jefferson and Zuby Ejiofor.

Interesting, but means nothing.... TaT has us taking Quaintance, Karaban, Reed, and Ejiofor...
