Player Happy 50th Birthday Tim Duncan

In honor of Tim Duncan’s 50th birthday 🎂, we’re revisiting one of the greatest Finals performances in NBA history.

During the 2003 NBA Finals, Duncan led the San Antonio Spurs to a championship over the New Jersey Nets, putting together an all-time dominant series. He averaged 24.2 points, 17.0 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 5.3 blocks, controlling every aspect of the game on both ends of the floor. In the Game 6 clincher,

Duncan delivered a legendary performance—21 points, 20 rebounds, 10 assists, and 8 blocks—falling just two blocks shy of a historic quadruple-double while securing the title.

One of the most complete and dominant Finals runs the game has ever seen.

The greatest. Happy 50th! Time really flies -- I'm hitting the half-century mark myself in about a week.

Gotta post my favorite game from Tim's career, when he was playing Around the World at Staples Center to close out the hated Lakers and essentially clinch the 2003 championship.

Had Kobe and Fisher in tears by the end of it, beautiful tbh.

I watched Duncan since I was a little boy in elementary school until I was a young adult in my mid 20’s trying to figure life out.

It sounds corny to say this, but I was sad for a little bit when Timmy finally hung em up. It felt like the last remaining piece of my childhood disappeared.

My Fav Basketball player of all time..

The foundation of a dynasty and a top 10 player EVER!!

That Edgecomb stat is annoying. Just like we all understand that you can’t buy a candy bar for 5 cents any more, we need to internalize that the 3 pointer and rule changes have inflated offensive production in the last 25 years.

There has to be a better way to track point inflation if we’re gonna have all these silly stats.

Happy Birthday Tim! The Greatest Foundational Piece of Franchise Ever and Top 5 Player of All-Time
